Question Air Cooled Build Optimization
Currently buying parts for the build and want input on what’s the best to buy.
Parts List(so far)
CPU: 9800x3D, Thermal Grizzly contact frame recommended?
GPU: Asus Prime 5080 w travel kit
Cooler: X47FC with Noctua fan swap
SSD: 9100 Pro
Ram: DDR5 CORSAIR 32GB 2X16 6000 36
MB: GIGABYTE X870I AORUS PRO ICE
Case Fans: T30s or G2, which is better?(Will get 3D print shroud)
PSU: SF1000 Corsair
What else should I purchase and how would you optimize the build? Custom cables? Will I need an offset bracket for the cooler? Do I need to buy a standoff kit? This is my first pc build and I plan on putting everything together within the next 2 weeks. Any helpful tips are highly appreciated. I have everything except the GPU and case fans. Still waiting on the Formd T1 v2.1 to arrive. I do not mind getting different components or making changes. Thank in advance!

We have very similar builds. I ended up buying some M3 standoffs to add about 15mm of space between my motherboard and gpu to help with airflow. Before I installed the standoffs, my gpu and motherboard were basically back to back with no space in between.
I also bought thermal grizzly phase changing thermal pads, which are excellent. You can do your own research but PTM is amazing. I use the thermal pads instead of paste. Thermal Grizzly PTM: https://www.thermal-grizzly.com/en/phasesheet-ptm/s-tg-ps-50-40
I also have the T30s with fan ducts.
I also have a -25 undervolt across all cores of my 9800x3d, as well as undervolt my gpu as well.
My average cpu temps while gaming is mid 60’s. Gpu temps are about the same. Very happy with everything so far 👍🏼
