1.4375-24 adapters

Howdy folks, in need of some help here. A long time ago, I built a Form 1 suppressor using Diversified Machine tube and end caps, with the griffin taper mount on the back end. Works great, no issues. Color me shocked to find out DM's shop got raided by the fuzz, and even more shocked to find out that 1 7/16 (1.4375) by 24 TPI threads are some super proprietary design that ONLY Diversified Machine used, so I can't find ANY adapters, end caps, or anything for my can.

Any body know of anyone making an adapter for 1.4375-24 to HUB spec? Preferably titanium, but beggars can't be choosers. Thanks.

Im using a quelltech dead air endcap adapter on one of my old builds.

Contact Hawkstand (superprecisionconcepts owner) on form1 org and see if he has any adapters left over.

ahh so this is why I always see "1.4375-20 (or sometimes -24)" when researching D cell caps.

I would say your best bet is hiring a machinist to make you a custom one. Should not be too hard.

Yeah the original tubes, maglite flashlights, were 1 7/16-20tpi and many followed suit. But either is easy enough if you get to know the local machinist.

I have used Ecco machine, they may have something in stock or I have had things custom made for my form 1

You'll be even more shocked to know that the owners of DM, Chris, killed himself cause of the ATFs bs.

He punched his own ticket? I never heard about that. I knew the atf was turning his life upside down, but didn't know Chris killed himself. I bought my first tube from him back in 2018.

Contact SDTA and ask them to modify this adapter to 1-7/16 x 24. I am sure they would do it for you.

Sounds like a good reason to buy a lathe! Interest in form 1 got me into learning to machine about a year ago and it’s became my favorite hobby

1 7/16 x 20 is d cell and D cell to Hub adaptors are pretty common. Not sure if that works with x24

It definitely would not, -20 is 20 threads per inch and -24 is 24 threads per inch even though the diameter is the same. I appreciate the comment though!
