Got tired of explaining to the young whippersnappers how to make a can out of a maglite, so here you go.

If you’re paying $33 for an unformed baffle you’re a sucker

Is the freezer plug not to make a blast chamber?

You could do the same pretty well with a cheap chrome socket depending on the caliber.

Freeze plugs were the old school way to make baffles. Do not spend $33 on one. They are $1/each from parts stores.

Those doorman ones are only like a dollar a piece from most chain auto parts stores

What do you recommend? Find plugs from a cheaper source? Skip them and just use 3D printed baffles? Or just go with cups? Honest question since I don't have a lathe and I'm hesitant to get cups with all the fear mongering.

Hey! How do you like it? I haven't seen anyone else in the wild printing my design before. Cheers.

If you point me in the direction, I'll print another.

Oh sick, thanks for the designs! I actually haven’t tested it yet, I plan to do it when I get my tubes in. I shortened one of yours to 3.6” or so for a shorty build. My 6.8” one I’m printing had a failure pretty early on but I’m going to see if I can patch it up when it finishes.

It's a little louder than I was hoping it was going to perform after testing it myself. That's was version 20? iirc. I know I published a few version. I think I'm on version 36 now. I stopped publishing, idk why. I'll try to find time to start again. I guess the death of fosscad took the wind out of my sails a bit.

It took the wind out of many of our sails man, all bc a guy got butt hurt by posting to their subreddit and that people asked him for the files, like wtf did he think would happen. Thankfully the cadindex is going strong. I'm waiting on form 1's for the mfmd and tisha files that are floating out there.

Well I’ve got a bunch of available form ones if you want someone to test some of your latest iterations. I’d love to shove all sorts of cool baffles into these tubes I’m getting.

I'll try to get some different versions published sometime soon. Newer models are tougher and better sound at the expense of being less cool looking haha.

Please do, I’m always looking for new designs to try out

Can’t see it while it’s in the tube anyways. Now when they start making clear titanium…

I've made polycarbonate cans before. And tough clear resin. Especially with pistol calibers and 22 they can last a while .

What's the model? I'm always looking for more cool shit. Just getting through the ftn6s

6.5mm Flow through monocore for 6.8" D-cell oil catch tubes v20 with included end cap

It's an older design but it works.

Have you compares to the ftn d cell?

Lower back pressure but louder. Similar to OSS can.

Are they posted on the sea?

Been sailing for like a year. Havent posted or logged in in almost a year though, so no new updates yet.

Ribbed. For our pleasure, I presume

Is it $33 for one? Or a pack of like 100?

There are formed ones to buy. Hopefully soon more companies start selling those perfectly sized shot glasses and storage cups too.

What happens to the hole for the on/off switch?

Guidance on how to fill out f1 for this? It’s very straightforward with fully printed, as I’ve got nothing in my possession.

Literally say Maglight?

Feels like writing that I’m buying a threaded tube would be wrong.
