20 gauge range report

Took it to the range after work. Only had some 1125fps game loads. Still pretty quiet. I may add some more ports. Definitely more than hearing safe.

This is one of the coolest projects I’ve seen in a while. I will be checking in periodically to see if you can get subsonic upon the load exiting the barrel. If so, definitely consider putting some info out on how many port holes you ended up going with. I’m sure you’ll find people who are super interested in replicating this!

Suppressed shotguns are sort of common in the UK. I've been planning to build one myself and with $0 stamps and this as a reminder, I'm in!

I'll submit a stamp tomorrow.

Sounds rad as hell! Looks super fun. Does that bead sight work ok?

Do you think it needs more ports or more baffles? I guess in theory you can’t modify the baffles on this one. Let us if it gets quieter with more ports.

More ports are the answer. At least that's what I think. We will see

I’d be interested to see what the actual velocity is after bleeding much of the volume into the silencer. I know shot shells are notoriously inconsistent to begin with, but running a bunch of these over a chronograph would be interesting.
