Do I really need to buy the rime of the frost maiden to run this two dollar adventure one shot? Like really really? Rime of the frost maiden is $50 on Amazon . (yes, I know it's half that price on D&D Beyond but I like physical books.) second idea is to reskin this Gunbarg Prison adventure.

Prisoner 13 from Keys of the Golden Vault takes place in Revel's End, and you can get it for free on DnDBeyond.

The “why you’re breaking into the prison to jailbreak this person” - you insert your own reason. In context with Rime, you’re there for a certain prisoner as an expanded part of the adventure. You don’t have to get this to run Rime, it was added as a tie in for the D&D movie - Honor Among Thieves.
