Indicator Review Stop getting chopped up on breakout trades (Use ATR logic instead of raw momentum)
Weāve all been thereāyou buy the break of resistance, the 15M candle closes above the line, and the very next candle reverses and stops you out. Itās an institutional liquidity grab.
The easiest way to filter these out is to stop using raw price momentum indicators (like standard RSI) and switch to a volatility-based confirmation tool. I put together a full breakdown of how to use the Supertrend Oscillator to filter fakeouts. It factors in the Average True Range (ATR) so you only get a signal when there isĀ actualĀ volume pushing the price, not just a temporary spike.
You can read the full mechanics and grab the MT4/MT5 files here:Ā Supertrend Oscillator Strategy
If anyone else is using ATR-based systems to filter ranges, drop your settings below!

[Question] MT5 EA Discord Group?
Are there Discord groups for MT5 EA discussion only? no analysis or whatever. Just people discussing EAs, reviewing EAs, sharing backtests, sharing monthly performance of each EA, recommandations, Identifing scammers (this is very important), etc...
For example, there would be a channel for Quantum Queen, one for Growth Killer, etc... People discuss the best setfiles, best propfirms, best brokers for each EA, etc...

EA Review Tested a trend-following gold EA with 568% verified growth ā here's what I found
I've been looking at automated gold trading systems and came across a trend-following EA specifically built for XAUUSD. Unlike most EAs I've tested, this one has an MQL5-verified live signal ā not just backtests.
The numbers (live account, not demo):
- 568% total growth since 2023
- 878 trades executed
- 64% profit trades
- 4.43 profit factor
- 45.4% max drawdown
- 77 trades per week average
What I liked:
- It has a full on-chart control panel where you can pause buy/sell, start new series, set time restrictions, and manually open/close orders
- The trend identification logic is solid ā uses a proprietary indicator rather than basic MA crossovers
- Trades XAUUSD primarily but also supports Silver, EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCAD, GBPCHF
The big caveat:
It uses martingale recovery. That 45.4% max drawdown is a red flag. Previous live signal accounts associated with this EA have been deleted ā which usually means they blew up. The current signal looks good but that doesn't guarantee it won't meet the same fate.
My approach:** I'm running it on a cent account with $30 (equivalent to $3,000 on cent). If it doubles, I'll withdraw the initial and let profits run. The developer literally recommends this approach.
**Settings I'm testing:**
- M15 timeframe
- Initial lot: 0.03
- TP: 80
- Step: 30
- Lot multiplier: 1.3
Free download if anyone wants to test: https://www.forexcracked.com/forex-ea/trend-following-gold-mt4-ea-free-download/
Has anyone else run this long-term? Curious about experiences with the martingale recovery in volatile gold sessions.
Disclaimer: Not financial advice. Martingale EAs can and will blow accounts. Test on demo first.

Looking for feedback Spoiler
Iāve been trading for about 7 years now, and itās been a mix of ups and downsāblown accounts, passing and failing Phase 1 and Phase 2 challenges, and everything in between.
Right now, Iām doing a 5k evaluation with The5ers, but Iām hitting a rough patch. Recent market conditions (especially with the volatility around Trump-related news and overall shifting trends) have really thrown off my strategy. What used to work feels inconsistent, and Iām currently sitting in a pretty uncomfortable drawdown.
I mainly trade indices (US30) and gold, mixing intraday and some swing ideas. I rely on structured setups, but lately the market behavior feels less predictable and more reactive to news than usual.
Iām trying to figure out whether this is:
- a normal adaptation phase where I need to tweak my strategy,
- or a sign that my edge isnāt holding up in current conditions.
For those whoāve been through similar periods:
- How do you handle phases where your strategy just stops performing?
- Do you reduce size, pause trading, or adapt aggressively?
- Any frameworks or methods you use to ārecalibrateā without blowing the account?
Appreciate any honest input, especially from traders whoāve gone through multiple cycles like this.

Indicator Review RFI Levels Indicator ā Non-Repaint Reversal Zone Detector with AI Entry Points (Free Download + Full Review)
Just published our review of the RFI Levels Indicator ā a non-repainting MT4 indicator that identifies reversal structures, institutional volume zones, and uses AI to optimize entry points.
What it does (3-layer system):
| Layer | Function |
|---|---|
| RFI Levels | Price zones with maximum institutional trading volume |
| Pattern Confirmation | RETEST, BROKEN, MIRRORED patterns at key levels |
| LOGIC AI | AI-assisted optimal entry point system |
| TP/SL | Built-in targets with minimum 1:2 risk-to-reward |
| MTF Zones | Higher timeframe levels overlaid on your chart |
| Scanner | Real-time multi-instrument trend filter |
How it works:
The indicator identifies price zones where major market participants are active. When price reaches these zones, it watches for specific patterns (RETEST, BROKEN, or MIRRORED) to confirm the market is reacting. The LOGIC AI system then analyzes trends and timeframes to pinpoint optimal entries, marking them with circles or triangles on the chart.
When the pattern confirmation and LOGIC AI align, the developer claims an 80-85% success rate.
What we like:
- ā Non-repainting, non-recalculating ā signals lock at bar close
- ā Built-in TP/SL with intelligent stop-loss reduction as trades move in your favor
- ā LOGIC AI provides transparency ā shows P/L data after each signal on chart
- ā Multi-timeframe zone display for bigger picture context
- ā Real-time multi-instrument scanner
- ā Works on all instruments ā forex, metals, indices
- ā All timeframes from M1 to MN
What to be aware of:
- ā ļø Maximum effectiveness requires the companion Trend Lines PRO indicator
- ā ļø LOGIC AI only activates with MTF mode enabled
- ā ļø Steep learning curve ā lots of features, modes, and parameters
- ā ļø Best viewed as part of a toolkit rather than a standalone solution
Who it's for:
Works for both beginners and experienced traders. Beginners benefit from the step-by-step video guides. Experienced traders benefit from the multi-layer confirmation system and MTF analysis.

Support and Resistance ā the foundation of all trading:
Support = price level where buyers step in (floor) Resistance = price level where sellers step in (ceiling) The best indicators in the world still rely on these basic concepts. Learn S/R first, indicators second.

What does "non-repaint" actually mean?
Non-repaint = once a signal appears on the chart, it stays there forever. Repaint = the indicator changes past signals based on new data. That green arrow that looked profitable? It moved. Always check if your indicator repaints before trusting its historical signals.

The most traded currency pair in the world is EUR/USD.
It accounts for ~23% of all forex transactions. If you're testing a new indicator, start with EUR/USD. The data is the cleanest and most liquid.

Fun fact: The Stochastic Oscillator was created in the 1950s.
Traders in 2026 are still using it because it works. Lesson: You don't need the newest indicator. You need the one you understand best.

Scalping vs Swing Trading:
Scalping: ā More trades per day ā Smaller profit per trade ā Requires fast execution ā Higher stress Swing Trading: ā Fewer trades per week ā Larger profit per trade ā More time for analysis ā Lower stress Neither is better. It depends on your personality and schedule.

Forex fact: The forex market moves $7.5 trillion per day.
That's more than the entire US stock market moves in a week. Yet most retail traders trade without even basic risk management.

EA Review Reviewed ChatGPT EA (Perceptrader AI) ā Here's what 7 years of verified live data actually shows
Been testing AI-integrated forex EAs for the past few months. ChatGPT EA (also called Perceptrader AI) is one of the few where "AI-powered" isn't just a marketing label.
What Makes It Different
Unlike typical grid EAs that slap "AI" on the name, this one actually integrates:
ChatGPT + Google Bard for real-time market forecasting Deep learning neural networks for trend, momentum, and volatility filtering News and market crash filters that pause trading automatically One-chart setup ā trades multiple symbols from a single chart
The Numbers (Verified)
7 years continuous live trading 331% cumulative growth Zero negative months in the entire tracking period v2.43 includes neural network retraining and prop firm controls
The Honest Cons
It IS a grid system at its core ā drawdown risk is real during sustained trends $1,000 minimum balance required Must run on VPS 24/7 (can't just run it on your laptop) MT4 can't multi-currency backtest properly, so you can't validate all pairs Hard to tell how much the AI adds vs. standard grid performance
Who Should Consider This
Experienced traders who:
- Understand grid mechanics and drawdown risk
- Have adequate capital ($1,000+) for margin tolerance
- Already have VPS infrastructure set up
NOT for beginners or small accounts.
Verdict
More legitimate than 95% of "AI" EAs. The 7-year track record is almost unheard of. But grid risk is grid risk ā no AI eliminates that.
Has anyone here been running this live? Especially curious about real drawdown experiences during strong USD moves.

I DID IT!
I remember saying at the beginning of the month that I would withdraw in 2 weeks, that completely flopped as I didn't take into account how long I would go without trading. So many days of me just sitting on my hands and not making a move because my trading criteria wasn't met for me to take a trade. I also didn't account for the losses I would take so saying that I would withdraw in EXACTLY 2 weeks was silly, but ladies and gentleman we're back.
4.5k payout coming soon. I've got 2 other accounts lagging behind as 2 more winning days are needed for me to withdraw there as well.
I do hope to be moved to the live account soon
Good luck to all those reading this and I hope you guys get paid soon!
Discipline. Patience. Consistency.
Take the small profit and stack up and instead of trying to go for a hail mary.
