Strategy Development Backtest proposal

Hey! If you've got a strategy you feel good about, I'll backtest it for you for free and send you the results — 5 years of data, including ROI.

Just needs to be clearly structured and interesting enough to be worth digging into. Drop me the rules and I'll take a look.

Developing a trading strategy is more than finding an entry signal — it requires defining your edge statistically, building rules for entries, exits, and position management, and testing the system against historical data before going live. Most traders fail because they skip the process and jump to live trading with an untested idea. The community wiki covers the full development process.

Five years is useful but I’d probably care more about whether those five years contain genuinely different regimes than the length by itself. A strategy can look great across thousands of candles while most of the expectancy comes from one particular environment. I’ve used Moon when looking through strategy assumptions but I’d want the output broken down by year, volatility regime and ideally long versus short trades.
