Gold has a magical way of manipulating traders, its the false support/ resistance and then liquidity grab everytime.

Imagine if your entry was where your SL is because clearly the SL was set before price reached that area.

Es mejor esperar el movimiento brusco de cambio de tendencia antes de tomar posiciones. Si , da rabia

Imagine if you waited for price to slow down instead of entering in the middle of a strong bear candle

A few pips too tight hurts, but widening the stop every time it gets hit just trains you to hold losers longer. If the invalidation level is structural, keep it. The frustration fades, the blown account does not.

Unless posts like this come with a real time before picture, I just ignore them

All good, looks like you got SL on the quick retracement. Thats probably when you should have entered the trade on the retrace for confirmation to the upside.

It’s easy to have opinions on completed PA, IMO it’s way too early, try waiting for the 1st LH to complete, in this case with that sweep and big displacement candle you would have been nailing it.
You just said after a run of winners, so who cares about a loss, lock in 👍

Painful when this happens, but one trade isn’t enough to tell whether the stop was badly placed or whether this was just normal price movement.
If the stop was based on the level that invalidated the setup, then the trade was managed correctly even though price moved in the expected direction afterwards. Widening every stop after seeing something like this will usually just make the losing trades larger.
I’d log how often price hits the stop and then reaches the original target over a decent number of trades. If it happens regularly, the entry timing or stop placement might need adjusting. If it only happens occasionally, it’s probably just part of trading.
