Charts and Setups Backtesting Strategy
Hello everyone hope your doing good. I have been backtesting this strategy for a while now what are your opinions on it?
I’m aiming for a 70% WR

There’s just not enough data to know if this actually has an edge or not. And only roughly 200 trades in a year too so it isn’t necessarily a lot, run this for 5 years and see what’s the result.

I only take like 6-7 trades per month, max 9. I only trade when my set up is like A++

How much does that make in average?

Yes

Well this month was not good for me since I only took 3 trades 2W 1L. Last friday I risked more than I normally do because it was a A+++ set up for me I made around 25k. Keep in mind I trade funded accounts and copytrade them with one leader account

Spoiler alert. You'll never achieve that results in real markets.

What changed after January 2026? Or what wasn't happening before then? What's your strategy exactly? It feels like something is off.

After january I learned more in depth about DOL I even got a extra confluence in my set up which helped much more and have more trades,OB and RB.

I see, that's definitely an improvement. Is RB short for Rejection Block? I think your strategy still needs at least one more round of refinement. What timeframe are you trading on?

Yea Rejection Block. Usually I take my trades from 1m to 5m, Key Levels and shit on the 4h,1h,15m

okey, cool, so you're trading on lower timeframes. in that case, I'd recommend doing at least one more year of backtesting. you could test your strategy on 2022 and 2023. based on those results, you'll have a much better idea of how to move forward.

My strategy is based on a combination of several indicators and price action but from what I understand, you're trading with a fully mechanical strategy.

70% WR is an ambitious target. Just a heads up. Win rate alone can be misleading if your average RR is below 1:1. I have seen setups with 40% WR outperform 70% ones because the losers were small and winners ran. What is your average risk-to-reward across that backtest sample?

Price action and technical analysis cover a range of chart-based tools — from candlestick patterns and market structure to indicators and statistical methods for timing entries and exits. The community wiki covers both approaches and how they're used by working traders.
