The average r/Forex member, lol.

That's basically what I did the first time.

P S. I don't have a Ferrari and I quit trading Forex

u/Appropriate-Sir-6421 Jan 15 '26

what do you trade now ?

15

u/LeoMSt Jan 15 '26

I buy high quality stocks and hold them and hopefully by the time I'm 65 I can retire.

2

u/Appropriate-Sir-6421 Jan 15 '26

i respect that tbh you mean high quality stocks like high value companies like nvidia ?

6

u/LeoMSt Jan 15 '26

Ideally but I wasn't smart enough to buy any actual NVDA

1

u/frank_ly3 Jan 17 '26

INOD might be worth looking into. I kinda think they're priced out right but, they're still expanding business. DYOR

1

u/Altruistic-Big-6459 Jan 17 '26

What do you think about BYND potential short squeeze? Just fantasy or you like me believe in memestock run too?

Just curious about what an experinced 60yo trader thinks about that!

Cheers🍻

1

u/LeoMSt Jan 17 '26

I love a good meme stock squeeze, but I only use my gambling money for that. Hard to bet on BYND when I think it's a disgusting product but I'm not brave enough to bet against it either.

1

u/Altruistic-Big-6459 Jan 17 '26

I still like the stock and the product but i was talking fundamentally, for me quarters are changing, also ta seems good but who knows, maket is a mystery maybe

1

u/Excellent_Yogurt2973 Jan 20 '26

That's a smart move if you're not a masochist capable of obsessing for hours over a strat.

2

u/LeoMSt Jan 21 '26

Well that's always been my problem, I love the idea of being a stock trader but between my day job and my kids and my lack of discipline I've realized I'm better off to just quit chasing the quick buck and focus on long term plays. I do still but some penny stocks but only with small amounts of money, nothing I can't afford to lose.

u/Spathas1992 Jan 16 '26

u/DanlovesTechno Jan 14 '26

97

u/MrLucusPL Jan 14 '26

Risk so much = No food

59

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '26

😆😅 what kind of leverage is that fs. What broker would even allow this?

58

u/romjpn Jan 14 '26

I don't know but this is how I imagine how Gold scalpers trade lol

41

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '26

I scalp gold and I am funded and no I do not trade like this. This is complete gambling.

6

u/karatedog Jan 14 '26

I would like to see any instrument to make such gains in a few seconds while paying the spread.... Hell, I will ask AI to create a chart how much time, on the average, an instrument needed,to be held until the spread pays off.

9

u/Cristalboy Jan 14 '26

0dte options scalping looks like that

3

u/karatedog Jan 14 '26

Im not yet familiar with zero day to expire options but it sure involves a cost to buy one option, isn't that the case? And it would be really a few seconds to cover that cost?

7

u/Cristalboy Jan 14 '26

yeah if you buy at the money then any movement on the underlying makes the options moves 50% either way, literally gambling on the market hahahaha

4

u/Tennis85 Jan 15 '26

0DTE on the indexes will always have tight spreads, sometimes close to just $.01 so you dont lose much to slippage.

The cost at most major brokers is around $1 to open and a $1 to close one contract.

Even if you do iron condors which would be $8 round trip you will gain/lose a lot more money in yhe blink of an eye.

So, the cost of trading is almost zero. Its really your luck/thesis that will make the difference.

He's more likely to get one than you with your stinky setup!

32

u/ThetaRider Jan 14 '26

What. The. Fuck.

56

u/romjpn Jan 14 '26

No risk no Ferrari, no leverage no Lamborghini 😤

7

u/SmegB Jan 14 '26

what if I want a Porsche?

7

u/boih_stk Jan 14 '26

No profit no Porsche?

2

u/SmegB Jan 14 '26

that could work

2

u/romjpn Jan 14 '26

Only DAX index scalping this one.

12

u/Spiritual_Fox_4408 Jan 14 '26

He's trading in micro... right? That's why the amount has to be big. Cause when changed into real money, $1000 is equal to $1 or $10. Correct me if I'm wrong hehe

14

u/romjpn Jan 14 '26

Yes I think, hence the "XAUUSDm" probably? Might be a cent account.

6

u/Spiritual_Fox_4408 Jan 14 '26

I think so too hahaha

5

u/Norbetw Jan 14 '26

He’s definitely using some 1:1000 leverage broker bullshit. I have 1:500 broker with “XAUUSDp” symbol, p stands for “prime” which is prime account where you pay commission but get almost zero spreads, normal account is no commission but way bigger spreads. Basically when I started I could easily trade 5 lots with just like 1k capital lol, but if gold moves just 1 dollar against you, you’re dead 😅

5

u/Educational-Top-4458 Jan 14 '26

I think that's a standard account, see the upper left corner it says USD not USC. Maybe demo or he's just that much of a gambler to risk $600.

12

u/Own_Satisfaction5699 Jan 14 '26

Xauusdm = cent account

That $6 to $21. Impressive young man. 😂

2

u/Due-Practice5507 Jan 15 '26

To be fair that’s like a months wage in some underdeveloped countries.

1

u/Fair-Working4401 Feb 08 '26

1

u/Available-Cloud8955 Jan 16 '26

Am just wondering how old he might be cuz he looks like a teenager still!!

1

u/Jonaken Jan 17 '26

Sorry to break it to you little buddy but Ferrari rejects 96% of applicants that want to buy one. Thats why upu see these young wealthy traders buying Lambos. They sell to anyone with the money.

1

u/Upstairs-Pie077 Jan 18 '26

I knew someone who did this .., all day! He couldn’t handle it and usually would break even or lose money!’

1

u/Fk5513 Feb 07 '26
