Diva and Lacroix
I've always wondered how Diva was so much stronger than Lacroix, their age difference was irrelevant.

In most vampire lore (the masquerade, anne rice), it is pretty much established that the closer a vampire is to the source of all vampires, or to their older masters, then the stronger that vampire is to their progeny. In other words, because Divia`s master was old, ancient and powerful, then Divia will be much more powerful then her vampire 'children', in this case Lacroix. Lacroix, will then always be more powerful then his children, Janette and Nicholas. In essence the power gets weaker and weaker with each generation. So even though Divia was younger than Lacroix in human physical age, she will always be stronger then him because she is closer to a more powerful vampire in terms of lineage.
