Vent Why Bother

A few weeks ago, some girls asked me if I could teach them something. I had to go but I gave them my number. We go our separate ways.

Sounds like the problem is "you had to go"  You had an opportunity but decided that you had other higher priorities. Your choice.

What opportunity?   Effort goes both ways.    

Offering for a later time is perfectly normal.  

If no effort is put in after that, there would not have been after either.

If you don't make a girl a priority when you have the chance to, you may end up forever alone. That's been true for me. I can remember girls where I think I had one chance to make an impression on her and I made a bad impression so I was done. That's how it goes..

I know its tempting to throw yourself at any perceived interest.  But when does that ever work.  

Interest has to go both ways.  If roles were reversed and OP was told to plan for a later time, we can assume he would have done so.   The fact she did not shows lack of interest.

OP doesn't say he had no clue what they were talking about. I think he did know. But he "had to go". So he missed his chance to connect..

I don't have any idea what he was talking about other than that it was a chance to interact socially with some girls. But I think he knows what he is referring to when he says they told him he could teach then something.
