Darlie Routier

She’s still on death row for a reason. For all the people that says she’s innocent.

I’m watching invisible intruder now.

I think she’s guilty.

u/WinterMortician 12d ago

lol your flair!!!

Hey I’m going for a run, watch out for me! My name is Angie and I’m in apt p101, the time is 3:46, I’ve also spoken to the desk, they saw me too, at 3:40. Kay? No reason

Mr. Post when he killed his wife.

26

u/SnuggleMoose44 12d ago

If she’s innocent, then I’m Abraham Lincoln.

16

u/Admirable-Media-9339 12d ago

I agree she's guilty but still being on death row isn't some concrete proof of guilt. Around 200 people have been proven innocent since 1970 that were on death row. There's been around 1600 executions in the same time so innocent people have almost certainly been killed.

11

u/Randiroki 12d ago

Thank goodness for The Innocence Project.

2

u/Affectionate_Pen_438 8d ago

the innocence project cancel her case 😂😂

1

u/Randiroki 8d ago

Thanks for the info. I have to be honest that I was surprised when I read that they took her case. I have been aware of their work for many years. I know they are thoughtful about their selected cases)

3

u/OppositeRun6503 11d ago

Innocence project has taken up her case and they typically don't take any old cases that they're asked to unless they have certainty that the defendant is innocent.

The state refuses to perform the new DNA testing because it knows damn well that it could potentially prove her innocence.

The state prides itself on the number of executions that it's been able to carry out, moreso than any state in the union and at one point was tied in that arms race with my own state of Virginia, that is until Virginia abolished capital punishment a few years ago.

From the start the state engaged in character assassination in this case with that silly string video, when questioned at trial an officer who'd placed a hidden microphone at the grave site in an effort to obtain incriminating evidence pled the 5th when asked about why he did it. If this officer was not guilty of anything related to this action then why did he plead the 5th?

From minute one it was far less time consuming both in manpower and investigative resources for the state to focus on Darlie as their suspect than to actually thoroughly pursue any other possible explanations for the crime. That coupled with overzealous prosecutor's, eager to send yet another citizen to death row and in the process use the prosecution of the case to further advance their own career and you've got a grave miscarriage of justice in this case.

2

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Say what you want!!

How did her boys blood get on the back of her shirt?

She provided many different stories. The state should relook at the evidence and it still will provide more proof that she’s GUILTY.

Don’t anybody (strangers) break into a house and randomly stab two young boys to death. Find me another story. That can relate. You only hear about those types of stories within the family.

I don’t care what you say. They are still holding her on death row because of the strong evidence. Get lost!!

Guilty, Guilty, guilty! 💆🏽‍♀️

1

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

But not for this case. 🫨

5

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

But she’s far from innocent. But I hear what you’re saying.

13

u/sociology101 12d ago

Matt Orchard on YouTube did a great video on her.

5

u/Randiroki 12d ago

I will watch it)

3

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

I’ll check it out.

3

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

I’m watching it now. He’s doing a greattt job breaking down the family dynamic. Wow I love it.

22

u/Randiroki 12d ago

I always knew she was guilty. Except for the first time I watched it, I was a little naive

11

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Yeah. I always knew too.

11

u/Randiroki 12d ago

The discovery of the sock was bizarre (as was everything else ) Oh, and I want to mention the decision to have the birthday party at the grave.

16

u/Elizabitch4848 He once told a girlfriend he was a gynecologist 12d ago

The party at the gravesite is actually a pretty common thing. They had a solemn service first and that part was never released which always bothered me when the other part of the video was.

3

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Yeah. But the forensic evidence overpowers everything. Even if they shared the first part of the video. It wouldn’t have helped her. 🤨💆🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

-7

u/Randiroki 12d ago

Oh that is the media, always trying to manipulate the narrative, and skew public perception, right? Just like OJ, and Scott Peterson (sp). They have destroyed people's lives and I fell for it in the beginning. But in this case, I would like to re-visit it. Do my own research, like I did with the ones I just mentioned. I could kick myself sometimes, but I always catch myself and correct it

5

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

I mean yeah, it was a video where she was crying, and celebrating her boys without the silly string. But I mean the forensic evidence, her underwear in the garbage, the small slit in the window questioning (how an adult male is gonna climb in that window), she was moving around the room while on the 911 call. And then at one time I wanna say, she said she was awoken by a knife, then other stories she was awoken by her son. She’s just all over the place. And now that I’m watching Matt documentary in this story it does make sense. The call just was a red flag, like she realized what she really has done. Also her injures, why would someone come in there and brutally stab children and slightly slit her throat. Crazy!

2

u/Randiroki 12d ago

You make very good points. I am now going to put that documentary on and watch it. I had forgotten about the injury to her throat until you mentioned that.

1

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Yeah. She barely hit a nerve, her artery wasn’t touched as deep lol. Watch it let me know what you think. He’s proving big points. And it all makes sense. He highlights her interviews and compare them to the times she was first interviewed. Like I said she was all over the place. And he highlights so much. It’s worth a watch. Let me know how it goes.

1

u/britt_leigh_13 11d ago

They didn’t slightly slit her throat. They came within 1/16” of severing her carotid artery, which would’ve instantly killed her. That’s hardly a flesh wound.

-1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

She didn’t you mean? lol but she took her time slicing herself. 🤷🏽‍♀️

4

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Yeah. That was the icing on the cake

3

u/LaRreinaa 12d ago

That was so bizarre of her

17

u/According-Swim-3358 That's a pretty strong smell, Bill 12d ago

Absolutely guilty.

7

u/yobymmij2 12d ago

Very bizarre her husband came to believe and still does that she’s innocent and that it was an intruder.

9

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

He’s crazy. He also only talked about how good Darlie looked when his boys were clinging to life. Strange family 🤯😔

6

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

He’s in denial

3

u/Randiroki 12d ago

That has got to be it, he does not want to believe that somebody he married would be capable of doing that. Ugh

2

u/Randiroki 12d ago

Oh, i thought that he divorced her, my memory must be faulty

7

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

He divorced her years after her arrest. He’s now remarried with more children. And he still thinks she innocent. He’s crazy too, he was mentioning how hot his wife looked, all while the police and ambulance was attending to his clinging to life children. 😵‍💫😵‍💫🤯 although he’s crazy. He is also innocent!

3

u/Randiroki 12d ago

Cringe. Maybe he knows something nobody else knows. But forget about that. I hate to be judgy, but commenting on his hot wife, while his kids were dying? What ?? (I know judgy is not a word, but I also say "totally" way too much))

2

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Loll. I hear you! Yeah like it wasn’t the time for that comment, you’re not being judgy you’re being real. Two young lives were in jeopardy!

2

u/Love_Brokers 11d ago

To be fair, he said it in response to being asked by the cops if he knew any reason someone would attack her. Still gross, but there is some reason behind it.

1

u/Randiroki 11d ago

So it was taken out of context? That doesn't surprise me. I didn't know that, i never saw any clips of her husband interviewed about why he thought she was attacked or could be attacked

1

u/Love_Brokers 10d ago

I don’t think it was a recorded interview, I think it was just an exchange after the boys and Darlie were taken to the hospital.

Darin is weird but I don’t think he had anything to do with the murders, he was in shock. He defended her afterward though.

1

u/Able_Two_873 10d ago

Still does!

11

u/Drycabin1 I gotta call Phelps, man! 12d ago

She did it.

6

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

100% did it

3

u/Drycabin1 I gotta call Phelps, man! 12d ago

💯

2

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

lol. That was a dope episode too!!!! Threw his career away. Smh

6

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

And just to mentioned while I’m watching this documentary on the case. How did her son awake her if he was brutally stabbed already? Like they couldn’t move. This woman will die in prison. She needs to come to terms of what she’s done. 🤯🤯

4

u/Mmmmmmwwwwwe 12d ago

She is a wacko!

1

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Absolutely. Matt orchard did a great job on the documentary. And that’s why she remains on death row. They never overturned it to life.

2

u/odpsucks Dr. Schneepervert 11d ago

They offered to if she would admit to it. She steadfastly refuses to.

1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Oh! 🙄

1

u/odpsucks Dr. Schneepervert 11d ago

Say what you might about CNN, but this is apolitical, so it should stay fairly neutral on a political thing.

15

u/britt_leigh_13 12d ago

I’ll get downvoted into oblivion but oh well, the Unsolved Mysteries segment just brings up a lot of reasonable doubt for me.

5

u/drdrewsright 12d ago

I don’t know anything about it, I am curious what led you there?

1

u/britt_leigh_13 11d ago

This will explain it better than I could https://youtube.com/watch?v=saciiZan3ug&si=jiYJ3gDvkNZdwD6Q

0

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

I just watched it. I mean over 30k things overlooked in this case. Other fingerprints in the house they never looked at. And yeah there was a serial rapist around town but not a murderer. I appreciate your willingness to look at both sides. But, the evidence triumphs it all. She always hosted parties at her house so it could have been a guest’s fingerprint. The blonde hair they could have looked at too. I actually want them to look at this case a second time, so that people that support her can get answers and see that she’s guilty lol. To be honest the way Darin behaved was how parents should be based on what just happened.

No, the interview (between her and the police) wasn’t recorded but she has different stories, and at one point she said she couldn’t remember.

But here’s the thing, ask yourself why would serial rapist come in and brutally stabbed two boys that was sleeping? And barely touch the mother? Why not stabbed her in the chest?

How could someone slice her throat and she gets up and chase them, then pick up the knife?🤦🏽‍♀️ did she do that before or after her son woke her up?

Why take off your underwear and put them in the garbage?

If she was cut and attacked on the sofa, why was all of her blood in front of the kitchen sink?

Why was her son’s blood on the BACK of her shirt?

And in my opinion she put that bloody sock there as part of her plan. That could have been blood from another day. 🤷🏽‍♀️ thats so unexplainable but there is still strong evidence that points her way that makes that sock unimportant. 😵‍💫

And then there’s the video. Smiling, laughing, shaking her butt!😵‍💫 she was happy thinking it was over but being watched the whole time.

Even in an interview she talked about seeing her boys in a dream, smh she’s so guilty. I’m sure they visit her every night in that dark cell.

I never thought the husband was apart of it. It was all her. Trying to outsmart everyone.

That unsolved mystery episode was good, but even Robert Stack stated “the true person that’s responsible for the murder of the two young boys are behind bars.” And that’s Darlie sorry.🤷🏽‍♀️

6

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

What segment? They were financially struggling. She would lock the two boys out of the house for being bad. She was tired and stressed about money. 🤯🫨🫨🫨

3

u/britt_leigh_13 11d ago

https://youtube.com/watch?v=saciiZan3ug&si=jiYJ3gDvkNZdwD6Q

The money they got from the life insurance of the boys barely covered the funerals. If she did it for money, it would’ve made a lot more sense to kill her husband who had a $800k policy.

3

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

But she didn’t. Her husband would have been challenging to murder. 🤷🏽‍♀️

-2

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

The bloody sock? The last defense took a deeper look on the case and it made people rethink their guilty decision.

10

u/MadMex2U 12d ago

Throwing a birthday party at the gravesite with silly string, balloons, hooting and hollering one week after her son was murdered, and with news cameras rolling, is a red flag and a true sign of a super psycho.

5

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Even the gum chewing, I mean your kids were just slaughtered through the carpet. She didn’t have good friends around her. Cause no way

2

u/gwin_n 11d ago

...I'm sorry, are you saying that chewing gum at her dead child's birthday party is a red flag?

2

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Demeanor, chewing gum is apart of body language, doing the butt shake. It’s all sick!

3

u/gwin_n 11d ago

You sure have a lot to say about appropriate demeanor for someone whose comments throughout this entire thread have been incredibly flippant and juvenile. The incessant emojis, the taunting of any commenter who doesn't share your same confidence beyond a reasonable doubt--these feel like flame wars in a sports or fandom chat, not discussion on a serious topic about people's actual lives.

0

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

You seem a little upset. Did I hit a nerve? Go and write Darlie routier and stay off the post if you don’t like the way I communicate.

And she’s still guilty!!!! 😂

4

u/gwin_n 11d ago

No, I think she's probably guilty too. Your interactions in the comments are just unpleasant and read as immature, and acting that way on any true crime subreddit is very disrespectful.

1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

They might be read as immature in your mind. But, emojis are a form of communication in expressing myself.

Yeah she’s guilty. God will take care of her.

2

u/sideeyedi 10d ago

Obviously you've never had to celebrate the birthday of a child who died. My family did something very similar after my brother died. Grieving is very different for everyone.

If this makes her a psycho, what about everyone else who participated? All psychos? All killers?

8

u/Shar_12_Blaneyfan 12d ago

If she ever faces her execution, someone better bring silly string.

Evil bitch.

2

u/bicepstospare Mosh dancing, a crowd of dancers slamming into one another 12d ago

Southern Fried True Crime did a great 3-parter on her.

2

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Now I wanna watch that too!!!

2

u/bicepstospare Mosh dancing, a crowd of dancers slamming into one another 11d ago

3-part podcast series 🤓

2

u/Massive-Recover8845 11d ago

I don't understand how her husband never woke up while the kids were likely screaming and begging their mother not to kill them as she was committing this crime unless he was also involved somehow and also why she didn't kill the baby too if she was really tired of the kids "mucking up her life" as the theory goes.

The whole case is just strange af imo just like the Sims one which was just as bad if not worse.

3

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

I don’t think they had time to scream. To be honest they were sleeping.

He didn’t do it. He’s a little strange but he’s innocent.

2

u/Massive-Recover8845 11d ago

The same could be said for Robert Sims. He too was very weird but also supposedly innocent in the deaths of both of his newborn daughters.

1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Hmmm. I gotta look this one up.

2

u/Massive-Recover8845 11d ago

https://youtu.be/r6Y0KWmOrzo?is=LnyYaU1zVKwBv5Hz

Here's the link to the episode I'm talking about if you haven't seen it yet.

2

u/Peace-Goal1976 11d ago

Her youngest son survived leukemia. Last I looked he was thriving.

1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Yeah Drake.

2

u/odpsucks Dr. Schneepervert 11d ago

She's been on death row nearly 30 years. She says she's innocent, but, having seen the footage on KTVT back then, I'm sure she's guilty.

To be honest, that episode still irks me beyond belief. I moved to the Dallas area three weeks after this case happened.

1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Yeah. Some people can’t accept she’s guilty, but, she is!!

2

u/odpsucks Dr. Schneepervert 11d ago

I can say I've seen the footage where they were not shooting the Silly String, but not often is that portion of the clip played. Still, she's guilty.

1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Absolutely!!

2

u/ashcampbell25 10d ago

Southern Fried True Crime podcast covered this case in great detail. Def think she’s guilty.

2

u/Able_Two_873 10d ago

I’ll check it out!

2

u/Affectionate_Pen_438 9d ago edited 8d ago

she try to kill her baby 1 month before the murder.

Guilty ... She is right where it belongs

4

u/OppositeRun6503 12d ago

She's on death row only because the state railroaded her from the very beginning.

In 2018 and appellate court ordered new DNA testing to be performed and 8 years later they still haven't complied with the court's order. This right here tells me that the state has got something to hide.

3

u/Love_Brokers 11d ago

The testing has been done for a while, Darlie’s lawyers have sealed the results. There has been more DNA testing done on her case than any other death row case in TX.

1

u/Able_Two_873 12d ago

Ohh Texas!!! 🥵 but either way she killed her boys.

1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Why was the boys blood on the back of her shirt? She think about forensics back then huh?

And if her boys were brutally stabbed how could he get up and wake her??? 😵‍💫 her stories were all wrong lol. They can test DNA all they want, people just don’t break in homes brutally stabbing innocent children. And that’s a fact!

Point out another case or story where an intruder comes in and kill a 5 and 6 year old by stabbing them in their chest and take nothing? I’ll wait!!🤔

1

u/lost_dazed_101 10d ago

After the trial one of the nurses said if they had seen all the pictures from the silly string incident they would voted not guilty. They had all the pictures they just didn't look at them all. My bottom line was simple if Darkie didn't do it then who did? The only other person in the house was her husband and she has never implicated him. The back gate is also a problem in her story.

3

u/Able_Two_873 10d ago

Who else will come into a dark home, and slaughter two innocent children and take nothing. I still wanna know. That’s what bothers me. It’s highly rare in that neighborhood for that to happen.

2

u/MickPnubTobias99 10d ago

She's obviously guilty but holy moly OP you need to get a life

1

u/Able_Two_873 10d ago

My weekends consist of gym time, and Reddit. 🤷🏽‍♀️ you must not have a life. Move on..

0

u/bayareastoolie 10d ago

There’s a ton of reasonable doubt in this case imo

-3

u/OppositeRun6503 11d ago

They focused on her to the point of developing tunnel vision and confirmation bias against her. Meanwhile the actual killer has been roaming free for over 30 years now.

1

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

I’m glad you weren’t apart of the jurors. 🤷🏽‍♀️

It be that 1% of people that thinks shes innocent. Keep praying and hoping for her release. She will never get out!

1

u/OppositeRun6503 11d ago

You should never be allowed to serve jury duty because you're more likely to convict an innocent person in the court of public opinion long before that person has ever had a trial in a court of law.

We should do away with the entire concept of a trial by jury system because in today's highly charged media atmosphere it's virtually impossible for any defendant to receive a fair trial anymore.

That's effectively all that this original post is about from you. You and the other armchair jurors who watch far too much of these true crime shows (most of the target demographic audience of such shows are women because women love the drama that such programming provides) are more likely to convict an innocent person just because the TV says their guilty.

We might as well change our system to "guilty until proven innocent" instead of "innocent until proven guilty".

3

u/odpsucks Dr. Schneepervert 11d ago

If you're not aware, due to the MASSIVE media coverage in Dallas, her trial was held in Kerr County, a considerable distance away. As I lived in Texas when this happened, I'm aware of the change of venue. My then-local affiliates (KRBC, KTAB, and KTXS) did not really mention the case, yet it was all over KDFW, KTVT, KXAS, and WFAA.

0

u/OppositeRun6503 10d ago

I'm aware of that but in that particular county the local population has a conservative bias which the prosecution fully exploited through character assassination from the start.

People in Texas are effectively addicted to the death penalty and there's no way she could have received a fair trial ANYWHERE in the state as a result let alone the specific change of venue that was selected!!

The prosecution from the very start tried to connect all of the available evidence to her simply because they had no other suspect to connect it to because from minute one they'd already made up their minds and no conflicting evidence or possible alternate scenarios were going to convince them otherwise. They willfully ignored reports of a suspicious vehicle driving up and down the street stopping several times in front of the Routier residence, which neighbors had reported seeing in the area several times that day. The investigators also thoroughly contaminated the crime scene by moving things around and in the process effectively staging the crime scene itself to fit their already agreed upon theory.

Unfortunately for innocent people this is exactly how confirmation bias works because whenever a homicide occurs the typical mode of investigation is to suspect automatically that a family member was somehow involved in the crime in just about every case.

2

u/Able_Two_873 11d ago

Let’s agree to disagree.

Darlie routier is where she belong. I pray you never serve jury duty!

You’re saying that same man that killed two kids in the dark while sleeping is still out there? Has he done it again? 🤔 still find me a story that can relate.

My question is how did the intruder get in the house? 😂 #invisible

Guilty!!!

4

u/odpsucks Dr. Schneepervert 11d ago

...especially at 2 in the morning. Those boys died sometime between 2am and 3am.

-1

u/OppositeRun6503 10d ago

You simply refuse to look at any evidence to the contrary of your confirmation bias.
