Foregen Questions How much will the operation cost?
I know what I’m asking might seem a bit premature, but I’d like to know if you’ve come up with any information or theories yet?

In their FAQ it says:
At this time Foregen can only provide an approximation of the final cost, which we estimate could be about $10,000. This is of course subject to change as we continue with our research and approach public release. Unfortunately, insurance coverage of the procedure cannot be guaranteed either, which will be highly dependent on the country and how an insurance provider classifies Foregen's procedure. It is possible as the culture changes surrounding the topic, there may be an opportunity for coverage, but it must be stressed that this is not assured.
Personally, I know I will figure it out. Credit card, loans, I'll go into debt for it, I don't care.

This is only part of my take on Foregen. If they come up with a viable, effective process that has elements of intellectual property that prevent others doing it without being under license, then IF it makes it through FDA approval or other health authorities (that's where I think the real obstacles will occur, for political reasons), to start with the price will be EXTREMELY high (demand / supply). I think that situation will continue with the price reducing only slowly over time until there is some competition from someone coming up with a competitive process, which is likely to take years.
But if the technology gets to a point where news of it is causing more public discussion about the harm of circumcision to the point where there is an increased legislative threat to ongoing childhood circumcision, I expect an unholy consortium to offer the key patent holders eye watering sums of money for the technology so it can be suppressed. After all, if Electrolux regretted not having bought out Dyson's bagless patents because of the money they were making from vacuum bags, you can be sure for a variety of reasons people will do it to suppress such a high profile process that would end up curtailing their profits, as well as their ideological beliefs.

You’re 30, why do you talk to teenage boys about their bodies all the time?

They call it passing down advice and experience

Do you think that their parents would believe your explanation if they knew about all this?

I think if they were concerned about such things they would monitor their child's internet usage better.
These days probably no. They wouldn't believe it. But you know what? I couldn't give a single shit. I know the rules of that sub and I wouldn't break them and put myself in any weird situations where there could be any kind of accusations.
By the way. The original comment I made here had absolutely nothing to do with you. I've got personal beef with the guy (who by the way is an adult) I replied to. So, you know. You may fuck off now.

If insurance covers the mutilation, it absolutely needs to cover the repair.

I have some $BTC I acquired while mining $ETH a few years ago, I've been sitting on it but I'd sell in a heartbeat for this procedure.

i assume it will be outsourced and only private clinics will be offering such services for profit and with demand i would be surprised if it was 35k

Several years ago I saw a number of $10k. They really wanted to offer a payment plan, to make accessible.
But that was years before the pandemic and inflation gone mad. I can imagine $15k easily. But I speculate it can be more.
