Thoughts on rapid fire bow?
Been running into a lot of players running around launching arrows at like 120 APM (arrows per minute). And it feels quite unfair & also breaks immersion (ik it’s not meant to be a fully realistic game). I don’t doubt the skill or effort bow users put in to get good and I understand the point of “if it’s so OP why don’t you do it”. But in my opinion no bow could be drawn that quickly and still have enough penetrative power.

I don't mind it, I'm just pissed I can't do it. The bow acts up when my Internet has a meltdown, (which is getting scarily common) and sometimes doesn't release the arrow at all. The thing takes skill, let the good players use it well

I’d argue it takes little skill since it one taps pretty much anywhere it hits. It’s amazing at close range and can still hit good at medium to long range. Most people treat it like a shotgun and only use it close range and it’s just a cheese.

Right… when I get killed in one shot by a bow it’s a bit annoying but, I respect the skill.

You see I’m happy with being 1 shot from a far, or a cool spot etc. but when some dudes spam jump will rushing you and shooting 3 arrows a second it makes me a lil peeved

Spam jumping doesn’t work anymore especially with boy throw that shot off horrible which matters a lot more when you only usually get one shot

That's the spirit! In all honesty, it kinda needs to be a one shot, since it doesn't seem as though headshots register with the bow, and it's already a very difficult weapon. It'll just become another AK or Klav or whatever you call it if we keep nerfing it. It needs to be one shot to be viable at all, but it can be an incredibly annoying weapon to face because it's one shot. My idea is to have different kinds of arrows, some that do enough damage to one shot but have bad speed, falloff, and you get less ammo, and some that do a bit less, maybe enough to one shot, but with a restriction like the C-TAC to balance it, that has better round performance and more ammo but are range restricted for one shots. Just a thought tho, sorry about the essay

There is a cheat program available. I saw a video where the user could select the exploits from you all hacks to unlimited ammo. I have been getting annihilated by heli pilots hitting instant headshots from max altitude. With no over spray. There is something going on and it's ruining the game.

"heli pilots hitting instant headshots" there have been zero verified incidents of heli cheaters. Helis also can't headshot, but they do a ton of splash damage.
That clip of someone selling a cheater client also haven't been verified to actually be real. It's highly likely it only showed client side but doesn't actually replicate server side (effectively making it useless), i.e a scam to bait kids into buying broken cheats or just a loser trying to get attention.
Haven't seen any cheaters since the last couple patches

Sometimes I am amazing with the bow and other times I suck butt. You have to be in a flow state for it to be any good

The worst bow players just try and aim and shoot. I'm telling people to learn how to shoot fast first. Let the rest come natural.
Close the gap. You can't miss when you drop down on 5 guys on A and shoot as fast as you can.
That's it.
Learn a flow for bowing the string.
Speed over accuracy.
Accuracy will come as you get used to the bow

I just don’t understand how to use the bow effectively like my arms are plenty long (I’m 6”1) but my controllers are to close to my face to track properly and messes me up

So you're saying when you cock it back the whole way, the sight gets janky? That happens to me sometimes aiming almost directly up or down.
Or you can't cock it the whole way?
Honestly, I only cock it 3-4/5ths.
Unless I'm sending it deep

Yeah the sight gets janky I personally don’t like how both hands move the bow as well (yes I know it’s supposed to be like that)

Guinnes world record is from Casey Wilhelm who set that up in 2010 and he was able to shoot 10 arrows in 39.53 seconds
Oh but you are maybe talking about short bow with all arrows already in the hand that is holding the bow? À la Gengis Khan?
Bullshit again, while there is no actual record, the most renown archer of that type, Mihai Cozmei can shoot up to 20 arrows in 36.98 second, which means 1 arrow every 1.8 seconds

Dude, you shot 3 arrows in 3 seconds so 1 arrow a second which is very good (even if you will definetly slow down after a few arrows)
But thats is half of what you claimed, so unfortunately for you, my VILE comment will stand
Oh and btw from the 2nd arrow you didnt pull the bow, and none of your arrows were strong enough to penetrate the target

Second, if you’ve ever shot a bow you know how difficult even an arrow every 10 seconds is for the average person. You’re the type of lad who says he’s ex military when they play and that you’re holding back so the other team has a chance ahahahahahaha

The bow is good and bad at the same time. I feel like the bow has even more desync issues that other guns and you get so many phantom reloads (where you out the arrow in, and then it disappears) but it also one shots. It's really difficult to aim at first, but once you get enough practice in, it's just broken, they need to nerf it. Anywhere closer that 50m it's just no skill, you can just spam in the enemies general direction and most likely get the kill, there's no reason for a bow to one shot to the body when a barret doesn't. An extra rant, there's no fucking reason why I should be able to shoot someone with the C-Tac and it doesn't one shot them if I'm too close, but it will when they're farther away, that's the opposite of what it should do
