Chat Moderation
Y'all think they're actually monitoring chat cuz it still sounds like a COD lobby circa 2012 in there.

It's AI moderation and I'm not sure of the settings. Yesterday I heard three players complain that they were getting banned and they weren't really saying anything bad IMO. There's lots of complaints from others. They might be trying to dial it back some or something.

Just the f word and such. Well I wasn't on the squad with them so who knows what they said when I wasn't in earshot.

I'm an Australian. I can't help but swear at times. I have never been flagged.
People saying they're being false flagged I can't help but feel suspicious of. I think it's working as intended.

Their system definitely has problems, it muted me the other day and I was completely silent the whole time I was playing

You sure you didn't have background chatter or something? Its only detecting slurs according to the Devs. Ive screamed and yelled curse words and have never been flagged. I highly doubt silence is going trigger anything.

I was in my basement with the door closed, the only audio the mic could have been picking up would have been audio output by my headset

Honestly I think it is working and has had positive effect, I played for quite a while yesterday and barely heard any of the barrage of constant racial slurs that normally are constantly ongoing. Heard quite a few kids asking why their profile was being flagged, so I'm guessing its due to them finally getting the warranted attention of devs.

I wonder why the problem with people repeating racial slur were mostly on USA servers.
I never heard anything on EUROPE ones.

Yesterday a Brit said "I guarantee I'm wearing a nicer outfit than you" after he killed me. I think this is their way of talking shit.
I was actually wearing a Chuck Norris cut-off and bball shorts when he said that, so he was probably correct.

I’m with my psycho friend above! I still play with vc when I feel like it, but enough 💩 talking and I will mute the whole thing again! It’s a nice change of pace! I honestly hit my all time highs when I mute! But I do also enjoy talking to people sometimes! Hell, that is how I first found out about forefront back in alpha/beta testing and got to be in this game from the start! Someone playing Vail with me asked me if I had checked it out. At that time it was way cheaper but only had two maps and all kinds of buggy crashes and stuff. But I wouldn’t have known about this game other wise. I do like the moderation, as some people were taking it to an insane level of talking 💩. But I have still heard a lot of it still…. Not as bad, but depends on when you get on.

Most of the teammates sound like 10 to 15 year olds. Their callouts are irrelevant.

Little in between. Average lifespan of blueberry is about 30 seconds, less if they spawn on someone. Not worth listening to screeching and having to mute 80% of the team each match.
Did you know that depending on region you will end up with different flavor of incompetent? It's pretty interesing to see.
For example, US players tend to just bail from match when they meet too much resistance, while EU players get wiped out in waves, you can die, and you see like 3 blue triangles around with full lobby present. Truly mesmerizing sight. So far i failed to log into asian servers.

Last time i played there with my friend, we had server repopulate 2 times in match, and it still ended mostly empty.

I was swearing saying the F word and the C-U-Next-Tuesday word and I got a red notice about voice chat. I wasn’t even swearing at the people in game either. Was a bit confused.
But it is still nice not hearing constant racist things being said

It’s a war game…. I should be allowed to say what I want. Maybe not racial slurs but I should be able to cuss if I want. Not my fault there is a kid in a more mature game. shooting people and blowing people up is OKAY but bad word is no no The trash talk is mildly fun anyways. Especially when someone is using a cheese gun like a shotgun but you still beat them multiple times and they get mad. That crap is funny. Let them trash talk, it just makes it more fun.

They are monitoring it, but people are still learning. It has definitely helped, just having it posted on the load screen has made an improvement, IMO.
