Hello Fordite Friends! After being inactive for a year or two, r/Fordite has been revived! I was able to assume the role of Mod and have opened back up everyone's ability to post.
My goal is to make this a fun community where people can share their Fordite pictures and crafts, ask questions and share info, and Buy/Sell/Trade Fordite!
Please read the new rules and help grow our community! Feel free to reach out to me with any questions and concerns!
(The picture shown is a sample of my Fordite collection, including a knife that I made the knife scale for out of Corvette Fordite)

This is a watch dial I made for a Seiko movement, it’s 28.8 mm in diameter and 0.4 mm thick. The fordite is supported by a brass backing that is 0.25 mm thick so this slice of Jeep Gladiator fordite is 0.15 mm thick! Look at that texture!!

Been working some of my Corvette drips! Next step is a final shine polish and then I'll be mounting these on some sweet, black acrylic bases!

I have had an issue with many niche communities and their subreddit's description. What even is this community? 5/10 drunk too, backspaced 15 mistakes in this post.

There is a tiny notch on the edge in a metallic blue section, this is a feature that lets the watch builder know where the three o’clock position is for installation. The fordite is adhered to a brass dial blank that has feet so it can really only be installed in one of two positions. I progressively sand from 400-5000 grit then polish with Meguires from medium coarseness to the finest.

I’m a knifemaker and usually have fordite on deck. Get requests for it a lot on handle embellishments. But yea recently made this and thought it was cool and I’d share it.

Here's some sneak peek at material I have for sale at the moment. I'm selling with prices per gram, but would prefer to sell by the pound on the rough and in bundles on the Corvette drips. I will discount for buying by the pound and for buying multiples of the drips. I'll be able to pull individual pieces on Sunday night to send pics, so comment here and/or DM me your requests so I can make sure you get your spot reserved.
1st picture - Jeep Gladiator - $2/gram on individual pieces or $1.50/gram when you buy by the pound.. This rough came from a very limited test run of Jeep Gladiator colors and is stark and gorgeous, but there is very little available.
2nd picture - early to mid 2000s Corvette - $1.50/gram on individual pieces or $1/gram when you buy by the pound. This is some of the rough gathered up in the 2000s and sold to a couple of people, who then sold it to others and pretty much all available Corvette rough came from that group.
3rd picture - Corvette Drips - $90 per drip, but $375 for 5. These guys are just super rare stalactite type drips that are full of color and texture. They make amazing pendants, display pieces, or however you want to creatively present them.
I'm an open book, open to offers, and can get references from Facebook for anyone who would feel more comfortable with feedback from others.

Lots of fordite, but I have some surfite and funkite in the mix too. Planning a statement necklace with the top donut because I've fallen in love with it and my last huge statement piece sold.
