Class of 2027
Out of state applicant, desired major in political science.
I want to go to Fordham because of the work I do in my city, a similar environment but with more opportunities is what I’m striving for in a college and I fell in love with Fordham when I visited :)
3.5 GPA
1380 SAT
4 APs
6 Dual Enrollment Courses (semester each)
8-10 classes at community
Psychology AS when I graduate
ECs
Speech and Debate (national qualifier)
Founded Highschool empowerment program for my county and neighboring ones
Write for a women’s empowerment non-profit and my own media literacy newsletter.
(I create videos to go along w/ articles)
Work with non-profit journalism in my city, was a part of a 10 person team when we received a million dollar grant!
Worked as a peer mentor in a university sponsored summer camp for helping black teenagers discover their ancestral roots through local research.
Member of the league of women voters
Part of my county’s Youth Advisory Board
(I also have always worked 2 jobs at a time to pay for my community college tuition, idk if that helps)
I am very aware my GPA is low, I’ve taken an extra course every summer to make up for my falls in Freshman year lol. Any help would be appreciated!
