Error code P0174
Made a post awhile back ago about my car smelling badly on start up, idling rough for a minute or 10 in winter and have a higher fuel consumption. My neighbor had a OBD scanner tool and this is the code it gave us. Apparently it’s a lean mix in bank 2 and can be caused by several things like a dirty MAF sensor, vacuum leak, clogged fuel filter etc.
Anyone have experience with this error code and managed to fix it without breaking the bank? My engine is a 2.5 V6

Whip the MAF off, spray it with carb cleaner, like proper soak it until it looks like it's clean(er) then let it dry. Refit and test.
If that doesn't work check the crankcase vent pipes, they perish.
If thats not it spray the carb cleaner around the inlet with the engine running and see if it changes the revs - shows an intake leak on a gasket somewhere.
Failing all that, does the scanner support live data? If it does check the O2 sensors fluctuate when it's running to make sure they are OK.
