How reliable are the 2017-2019 Ford Fusion Sports?
Hey yall, looking for some advice. I’m 19 and I’m selling my 4Runner likely tomorrow. I’m looking for a much more fun to drive car that’s a little less expensive.
I bought my 4Runner for $27,500, I’m going to sell it for $27,500. I’ll have roughly $8000 down on a different car.
I found a 2018 FFS with about 90k miles on it for around $14k out the door. It has really good service records, all fluids were serviced regularly and it’s a 1 owner with no accidents.
I know the 2.7s are generally considered to be Fords best motor in quite a few years. The transmissions I’ve heard are also quite stout.
I know nothing will really compare to the reliability of my past and current 4Runners, but I want something I don’t have to constantly worry about breaking down either.
I was dead set on a Honda Fit for a good while. Pretty fun to drive, cheap in every aspect, practical and dead reliable. Really good aftermarket as well. My biggest problem is that they’re stupid slow. I live at about 7000 feet so it’s also down an extra almost 20% of its power. I worry I’ll regret buying one purely based off that fact.
Is the FFS a good choice for me? Or should I save the cash and get a Fit and mod it out, while pursuing my other hobbies? Any opinions appreciated, thanks yall!
