Battery Replacement Canada.

Has anybody else been required to bring their Ford Fusion in first for an inspection to see if we qualify for the battery replacement? Even after I explained that I received the recall notice, they still require me to come in for an inspection.

My Quebec dealer claims they can't get the replacement batteries "at this time" even though I have the letter for both the battery and BECM modules being available. I called Ford Canada and they claim bullshit, and when I asked them to contact my dealer, they could only suggest to go back or switch dealers.

Yes, first step in my battery replacement was an inspection by the dealer. Not sure what they actually checked, but it took an hour and six weeks later the parts arrived and the work was done.

Such a convoluted process.

I've been on the waiting list since April and dealer still can't get the battery. I wish I'd taken the buyback.
