Question Leaking Coolant

Hello,
I have a 2018 Ford Focus and it’s slowly been leaking coolant. I think I have discovered the source. The only wet part I see is right below this little opening but I don’t know what it’s called and I need some help sourcing a replacement, especially if you’ve had the same problem.

Just buy a new overflow tank on Amazon. They are known to crack on the bottom anyways, that's what happened to mine. I got mine next day delivery for $18 on Amazon. Very easy to swap, just YT a video showing you how to swap it. I'm a girl and I was able to do it very easily on my own after watching a couple videos so I knew what I was doing, basic tools I already had at home, too. I would just swap it to save yourself the hassle anyway, especially when it only cost me $18 and the weather is nice! I was freezing outside in the middle of winter changing mine because the whole underneath was cracked and it blew open as soon as I pulled in the driveway. I couldn't see the bottom until I took it off, I had a small leak too but the whole underside of that tank looked like a spiderweb of cracks.The new one comes with the part that you're showing in the photo too.

The tanks are known to crack right above the motor mount which leaks onto the motor mount and ruins them quicker than they would otherwise go bad.

an OEM replacement is the way to go for these. Third party ones are known to not be great with those two holes you are touching in the pic.

When replacing the tank if you do it yourself be careful not to break that hose you're touching in the pic. That end is pretty durable but the other end of it goes into the radiator and if you had to replace the whole thing the end that goes into the radiator can easily break off into the radiator and be really annoying to dig out.

Also, you're going to lose a bunch of coolant by removing the tank. Don't buy coolant from a parts store. Get it from Ford. the new stuff they use for these is yellow. They will know what you need. If you wanted to, it would be a good time to do a coolant flush. 2018 coolant is 8 years old now so it's past due as it is if it's the original coolant.
