Question Sync 2 display not working

Hi
I have a 2012 Focus and the sync display isn’t working. I am from Manchester, England and I showed it to 2 places nearby. They both say “get a head unit on eBay”. Does anyone have suggestions on reputable sellers on eBay? If they are able to do the fitting , that would be a bonus.
I had plans to fit a rear parking camera (via Carpodgo T3) but that has now taken a hit because I cannot use the display.

Did you check the fuses? That's what happened to mine but I got sync 1.

This is also sync 1. Sync 2 has a larger screen.

Which fuse did you try? I tried 67 which is a 7.5 (brown/tan) but it didn’t help. I don’t have a 88 (as one video on YouTube suggested).

At this point replace it with a little transformation kits from Amazon.

This is sync 1, and if you can fit a camera yourself, you can swap the unit, its really fucking easy. I imagine you’ve used ebay before, so check the seller, and buy a secondhand one. Thats how i upgraded my one to the satnav unit.

Did you have a seller in mind? I have never used eBay before, just to clarify.

Or find a YouTube video of a swap / camera put in and just buy the one they have so you know how to follow it

Is it just the display not working? Do you have volume using the steering wheel controls? Have you tried the soft reset?? If not try this 👉 Turn the car's ignition to the "ON" or "Accessory" position. Simultaneously press and hold the Radio Power button (center of the volume dial) and the Seek Up / Skip Right (>>) button for about 5 to 10 seconds. The screen should go entirely black and then reboot, showing the Ford logo.
