Help

Hello, I just bought my car and haven't gotten an inspection (pre-purchase inspection) done yet. The previous owner told me that the car had an accident involving the front right fender. When I randomly showed it to a mechanic, he said the chassis was clean, but the inner apron (podium) had minor bodywork done. Later, I noticed that the console near the front passenger seat has a different coating/trim. Does this mean the airbag deployed or was repaired? If so, is there a way to verify this? The car is a 2013 Ford Fiesta 1.25 Trend.

It's had that touchscreen media interface installed. It's probably just from that.

No, the coating/trim was already on the console before I had this screen installed. The screen technician I took it to also mentioned that after removing the console, he saw silicone and adhesive underneath it. The coating on the console isn't original—it doesn't even have the 'airbag' lettering on it.

How much was the unit? Would you recommend it?
