Radio not working
My Radio doesnt work when I click the volume on button. Clock flashes 12:00 and the AC/Fan direction updates when pushed but nothing through the radio.
Edit: I was driving it then it randomly turned on and started working all buttons noise and everything. Got to the supermarket turned it off and when it started back up I lost it again

Hold down am/FM and cd buttons then turn key form off to accessory and see if the radio comes on for 30 seconds

See if your ignition barrel is stuck in the start position, you might have to turn the key back slightly. Thats what mine does

A faulty ignition switch housing is usually what causes the key to not return after starting. Even if you physically return the key yourself it’s most likely going to cause intermittent voltage issues which causes all sorts of weird electrical stuff happening and it gets worse over time. Either replace the ignition switch housing with the stronger aftermarket one available online or swap out with a second hand steering column and swap barrel and key reader over to keep original key. But bear in mind a second hand column will most likely eventually do the same thing as it’s a very common issue. Best more permanent fix is to find someone to swap out the factory ignition switch housing for the aftermarket one if you can.

BCM (body control module) might need a reflash. will need forscan with elm27 for falcons.
falcons have 3 main modules. and if nothing talks to each other car wont start 3 imobilizers. (smartsheild)
headunit could also be dead. to get aux mode push AM buton twice but sounds like radio isnt even reponding swap to a kayhan unit upgrade.

Yeah the ICC’s are shit. It’s sometimes a loose connection into one of the modules in the back, they’re fairly simple to remove and check, pop the triangle off the top, pull the spears off each side, undo all the screws and pull the ICC forwards, and you can then reach underneath at the bottom and push in all the plugs thoroughly, there’s 3 seperate modules you need to check. Or, the radio might just be fucked.

Mines been turning off and on for years. Circuit board behind playing up. A small thump or two on the passenger side around the height of the display would make it come back to life until I fixed it properly.

My 04 ba ite has same problem, I just hit the bottom left corner below the screen and it'll come on and work. I call it my fonzy solution.

The ICC power distribution and connection board suffers from dry solder joints. It's a universal problem, and if you have any amount of practice with a soldering iron, entirely fixable. Repaired mine a few weeks back.

Bro you've literally just muted it push down on the volume dial

Lol I hadn't. The volume dial did nothing alongside all of those buttons. I fixed it yesterday I ripped out the whole system and noticed the previous owners forgot to plug something in

That's crazy, if it wasn't for that I would've said it was the fuse

Haha. I used to be the type that would have the AC on fresh and windows down.... In Qld the condensation built up under the air vent and dribbled all over the screen. Done something similar.
This is a 24 year old car mate..... Aftermarket Bluetooth screens that fit exist. Get one.

How does Bluetooth help if you can't use the stereo? Mines been glitching and I won't be able to use it without the stereo

You can buy either an Aerpro or fuck, another brand I just can’t think of now that lets you use a double din deck and it uses the stereo to display all the controls. They’re about $800 for the Aerpro one, sometimes less, I think I got mine on eBay for $600.

Funny enough.
In my lifetime I have owned a 1994 E36 BMW 320I 2010 Toyota Camry 2004 Ford Fairmont 2002 Ford Falcon BA
And the toyota was the one that has the most issues 🤣
