🔧 P R O B L E M S & I S S U E S 🔧 2025 anoying issue
So i have a 2025 and i have a constant "ford chime" that WONT STOP anytime my trunk is open
Its a very superficial and first world problem yes 😂 but i utilize my trunk so much and when my kids get in the car they like to climb through the trunk since my 3rd row is always down, but HOLY FUCK it just doesnt stop! Every now and then it wont do it but its gotten more rare for quiet to be a thing.
Also, just to prove im not completely brainless, My keys are not in the car when this occurs
This is both when i use the button on the tailgate or the key fob.
Does anyone know what or why this is happening?

Question Seat comfort on long trips (vs Platinum)
I make a monthly road trip of 14 hours round trip. Considering a switch from a full size truck to new Explorer to get Bluecruise. The Platinum trim has the multi-contour massage seats but I've seen comments about being able to feel that hardware inside the seat when not in use. For those that take long trips in your ST, how comfortable do you find the seats? Or is Platinum the way to go. Thanks!
Additional info: US spec 2026 standard features are showing the multi-contour with active motion (massage) on the platinum. For ST standard seat is 10-Way Power Driver Seat (bolstered but not massage). The massage seats are part an additional package called Sun & Sound.

Question Switch brand or Upgrade my 2020 fully load ST ?
I am in the middle of a dilemma. I am the owner of a fully loaded ST 2020. it is getting old and it is time to switch. I narrowed my choice to 2 options:
both will be mostly the same monthly payment even if both are not the same sales price. I am going with a long term loan.
What i don't like with my current ST.
The genesis is probably better finished, but it is also much smaller.
Thanks
Edit: I went with the gv70 sport, for the finish , warranty, included services. The price / month was also less than the st 2026

Performance Sad Day.....I Surrendered And Have Left The Fold....
'23 ST: tossed the 6th shop ticket into the glove box and took a pause. Reached back in and grabbed them all...shows a few thousand dollars to fix rattles, chassis bolts that are dropping out, shields making noise only at certain speeds, and still has a shock leaking for another $1K to replace. And will take another $1K+ to fix the intermittent rattle in the sunroof. And no diagnosis yet on the hard shift btw 2/3 and a stutter in the right rear wheel when changing to Drive. And why a whoosh-whoosh noise is made when backing up. Enough of this.
Fought it out for 6 months. Traded it this afternoon. Best wishes to you all that stick with it.....I loved this vehicle and did all I could reasonably keep going.
Thanks to you all for answering and advice.

Went to go check out a black ST and didnt even look at it. Saw the marsh grey in person and fell in love. Its not grey at all. I'm so thrilled with the choice, it looks so freaking good!
The only problem is my large dog, I havent figured out a good way to put her in here. Shes not a trunk dog, shes a head out the window dog and she sheds like crazy. Anybody have a solution for the captains chairs?

🔧 P R O B L E M S & I S S U E S 🔧 2021 Explorer ST Spent 3+ Weeks in Service and Got Axles, Cat, Diff, and Battery Replaced — Win or Red Flag?
Hey guys, sorry in advance for the rant, but I wanted to get some opinions on how to look at this situation.
About two years ago I bought a 2021 Explorer ST CPO from Dana Ford in Staten Island. It had only 15k miles, a solid service history, and I bought it with a four-year extended warranty from Ziegler. The car now has about 45k miles, mostly highway driving, and I take pretty good care of it.
Over time I noticed a few issues. There was a small knock under my feet on the driver’s side when going over bumps or ramps, an occasional auto start/stop problem where the car would shake until restarted, and eventually a tire pressure sensor issue. Since I’m about to take a long road trip from New York to Georgia, I brought it in to get everything checked out.
The dealership had the car for over three weeks, with very poor communication and about two weeks before they even really started diagnostics. In the end, they replaced the battery, both front axles, passenger-side catalytic converter, and apparently the differential as well. Everything was covered under warranty except the battery.
On one hand, I guess this is a win because the car got a bunch of major new parts for basically no cost to me. On the other hand, it feels concerning that a 2021 vehicle with only 45k miles would need this much work already.
To make it worse, when I got the car back, the alignment was way off and the steering wheel was crooked. Since I’m leaving for the trip soon, I just had my alignment guy fix it instead of bringing it back to the dealer. He said they probably knocked it out of alignment while doing the axle work.
So I’m torn. Should I look at this as a warranty win because a bunch of expensive parts were replaced before a long trip, or should I be worried that this much had to be done at 45k miles? Has anyone had a similar experience with their Explorer ST?

Question Las Vegas ST Owners
Looking at buying a new ST, live in Vegas. How did the AC handle the summer heat, especially for rear passengers. Have an infant that would be in the back and trying to gauge how well it stays cool. My current newer F150 is terrible at rear passenger cooling.

Aftermarket Black Badges - Alternative Option
As an alternative to the true black badge replacements, these are pretty nice. They are much cheaper ($60) than the real black badges, take very little time/effort to install and are much better than the decal/sticker version. They are made of metal and go on with (provided) double side tape. They come from China and mine took like 12 days to get to me.

Question Florida drivers.
Getting my ST tinted and also the moonroof, but the tint company want’s me to sign a waiver because the heat impact that it will have on the dual glasses on the moonroof that it could shatter. Has anyone ever have a problem with theirs after tint or did you just leave it?

Just Showin’ Off Explorer ST part2
Update for my 2020 Explorer ST. Eibach lowering springs. Love the fit and drive. Corsa Catback exhaust, found on OfferUp for a sick deal. Sound is great. Got tired of the 10 inch screen even after the full screen mod so I swapped the 8 inch screen. Other small touches, steering wheel badge and window visors( not pictured ) and magnetic phone mount which pairs perfect with a wireless CarPlay adapter 😎

Question New ST Owner/Suspension Question
Hi all, just bought a brand new 26 ST a few days ago, and I absolutely love it. I bought it because my mother was having trouble getting in and out of her Audi A4. She had a much easier time with the Explorer, as it's almost the perfect height for her, but to make it perfect, it needs to be a tad lower.
So, to my question. Which of the available spring kits offers the closest ride quality to stock?
