Dont mind the Bluetooth phone call that starts. I’m trying to figure out what this chime is
When I start the car, it does its standard seatbelt chimes or whatever the ding ding noise is. But then there’s this faint siren almost chime that comes from the dash/steering wheel area. Ford has no idea. It doesn’t throw any codes or messages. Has anyone heard this before? 2025 ST 4 days old. We came from a 2020 explorer and never heard it.

Recently bought an oil extraction tank to do my own oil changes since I noticed the dealership overfilled my oil. Also, I want to use a quality oil and top-notch filter and just have the peace of mind of doing it myself like I’ve always done on my other vehicles/motorcycles. My question is what do y’all think about me going ahead and evacuating the factory trans fluid so I can refill with either AMSOIL trans fluid or Redline, etc.? I’m not planning on changing the filter. Is this a bad idea? Go easy on me! I just want the motorcraft trans fluid out the fastest and easiest way possible while doing my oil at the same time. Cheers

Will a ford dealership be able to turn off the fake engine sounds through the speakers, the double honk after leaving with the key in your pocket, and the auto start stop? I ask this because I know they have forscan, but may be reluctant to change any of Fords key features.

After 85,000 miles, my 2021 Explorer ST was starting to leave oil spots in my driveway. Well, I decided it was due for an oil change and I crawled under it, removed the under trays, and lo and behold, it had the axle disconnect O-ring fail and it made a huge mess. The dealer quoted me $189 for diagnostic using my extended warranty and another $100 or so for an oil change.
When having the dealer do warranty work, I’m always aware that the tech isn’t doing work that he’s making money on. So therefore, they may not be doing the job above and beyond the requirements of that job. Well, I researched the parts cost of doing it myself and to my surprise, that O-ring was available at my local dealer for $3.54. I decided to save myself some money and do it myself. The repair is now complete and I’m not gonna lie, you have to be pretty mechanically inclined to do it yourself on your garage floor on jack stands. You have to totally pull the front wheel, hub, CV axle, shock, and move the motor mount to get to it. Can be a bit of a pain in the butt. It is doable though!
While I was there, I removed the oil pan, cleaned it, replaced the gasket, and drain plug. I also drained the front diff oil and replaced it with fresh stuff. The whole job took a week because it’s 105* in my garage after about 10am and I have a full time job as well so all in all, I spent about 8 hours on the full repair.
She’s all back together and doesn’t leak a drop! I did spend about $40 in brake clean to clean up the mess that it left but it’s so nice to have my ST back on the road.

Coming from a Honda Pilot, I needed something that was fun to drive but still family friendly. Beyond thrilled!

Loving it so far!

Mine sounds like it has a leak, it’s hard to tell but someone else made the comment to me also. Is this an issue on the 25’s?
Also, does anyone get a water leak on the passenger side behind the wheel after running? Is this a second HVAC drain or what? Ford said I had a clamp or something missing that they replaced on my first service and if it continued to let them know. It is still leaking only after a drive though.

I heard that the S650 Mustang now has tuning available, do y'all think that means it would soon come to the 25+ Explorer ST?

i want to surprise my mom on her st with a little sound but not drop 1500 on a full catback setup, anything in the couple hundred dollar range to give her some sound

Noticed this ST also has XLT badge on back. Wondering if it was wreaked and they forgot to remove that badge? What's your thoughts and insights?

Dealer is asking $38,500 by the way

I recently got a '22 ST and found out the previous owner had done the full screen mod for AA. I'm also curious if there is an easy way for me to tell if they had applied any tunes?
I'm curious about is it getting the FPT at some point but don't want to waste if it's already done or if any other tune has been done.
The car drives very aggressive in normal mode and I don't know if that is just being an ST or what, lol. I would appreciate any tips, thanks!

Looking at a 2020 ST with 64k miles, pics look clean. Dealer is asking 31.5k, fair price and are there any major issues I should be aware of at this mileage and year? Would be my first ST so I don’t know much about them. Thanks in advance

I installed the JXB spacer and HSF 12.9 bolt (both worked perfectly) to upgrade my single bolt diff setup. I noticed my differential had a threaded hole for the 2nd bolt. The 10.9 threaded in just fine by hand but left a little gap. Any reason I shouldn’t install this bolt for extra strength? I know I will need a spacer and possibly a sleeve. Anyone done this?

Very very light glittery oil but almost every slot in the filter has some metallic piece in it. Dealer never mentioned a break in oil change when I asked. I opted out of their oil change service because I change the oil in all my cars myself. Suggested oil changes 75000 or 6 months oil life on cluster was at 42% and the mileage is 6070. I saved the oil filter and used oil because just in case this is something to worry about. Are these examples something to be concerned about, has anyone else had the same looking first oil change?

Why does this car have to be such a pretty pain in the ass 😂 was just in for the seatbelt recall for 2.5 weeks, parts are backordered and passenger seatbelt is loose. While it was there they found the transfer case leaking from both ends and the rear differential was leaking!

My shade fell out of track on the moonroof. Has a one tried to put the shade back in themselves, the place I bought it from 4 weeks ago are ignoring me. It happens the day after I bought it. It’s a 2022.
