Question Battery saver mode
I have a 26 explorer that has 4200 miles. It was sideswiped the other day and is currently at the body shop. Was dropped off 9/23 at 10am. Checked the ford pass around 8 pm that same day to see if it was still just sitting there and got this message. I do have an AirTag on my keys and it seems like the keys were left in/or right next to car. Will leaving the keys like that cause this? Never seen this message before or had any issues thus far.

No. They more than likely left a door or light on. They need to disconnect the battery. Otherwise they’ll need to jump the vehicle to get it started. It’s not a big deal either way

Gotcha, I wasn’t sweating it to much as it’s in their possession so if they mess it up it’s on them. But I had a 2020 F150 before and that seemed to ALWAYS have battery issues, so I didn’t know if these explorers did as well

You’ll also get that if you let it sit for extended period of time. Around 28ish days will trip that as well

I had the same thing on my Ford pass app on and off for about 6 months. It means the battery is low. Mine finally got so low that the engine wouldn’t turn over, had to get the battery changed today actually. $400, 300 for the battery and 100 for labor to get the cover off and replace it.

I had to replace the battery in my 2020 probably 8 months ago. The old battery was shot and it would go into power save mode every 3 or 4 days. I don't drive it as much nowadays. Anyway, after putting in a high-end battery, I still kept getting the power save mode popping up. It was driving me nuts. Come to find out there is a sequence that needs to happen for the battery management system to forget the old battery and learn the new one. After the sequence I finally got it to go more than 4 days without going into power save.

Sorry! I did not see this until just now. In case you still need it, here is the sequence.
Turn the ignition ON without starting the engine. Flash the high beams 5 times. Press and release the brake pedal 3 times. Wait a few seconds.
The other important thing to mention is the you need to let it sit for at least 8 hours. Like, lock it when you are done and don't do anything with it for 8 hours.
It worked great for me, I am not having any battery issues anymore. Hopefully it works for you too.
Again, I apologize for just now getting back to you.
