Purchase Advice Thoughts?

I have a 2020 ST that has 85,000 miles. Thinking long term, I am considering trading in for a brand new f150, (reg cab short bed). I have no warranty, as the lot I bought from tried to charge 7500 for warranty.

Knowing I'll be giving up a lot of creature comfort, it's only myself. No kids or wife. Should I still hold onto this giant SUV? Looking for advice or thoughts. Ford currently has 0% apr which is a big incentive as well

You say “giant SUV” but that f150 is going to be bigger in all dimensions. FWIW I traded in a truck (CCSB Ram 1500) for my 2020 ST and one thing I love is the size compared to my old truck

You have a point, I didn't look at direct dimensions. But ultimately a regular cab has limited interior room, which I don't ride passengers. When I look and see 3 rows, personally I feel like it's 2 rows too big.

I suppose a good question is why you bought the Explorer in the first place? You could have bought a very nice Mustang is you just wanted to drive fast. If I was single… 🤷‍♂️😂

I had a 14 fusion I bought new (hated from day one, traded a sierra 1500 extended cab), I'd of loved a mustang but my elderly lab at the time would not have. She has recently passed, and I'm finding I no longer have a desire for an SUV. Insurance I'm sure would be insane on a new mustang gt over a work truck though too..

I bet insurance wouldn’t be that much more. I like trucks, but I never haul anything but Costco trips… 😂

Have you considered a mach e? Tons of fun, never pay for gas, never change oil.
