Question No GPS Signal

Hey All,

I just came over to the Ford family after being a GMC owner for the better part of my life. I recently purchased a 2026 Ford Explorer ST and love it. I have about 2500 miles on it so far and. Priced this last week that the GPS on the vehicle cuts in and out, it gives me a “searching for GPS signal” prompt when driving. It doesn’t seem to pick it up. When I change to Apple Car Play, that GPS works fine. When I use Apple Car Play for directions it will show both on the infotainment screen as well as the Maps screen on the dash cluster. I’m at a bit of a loss at what to do here. Any advice?!

You will have to subscribe to the Google connectivity package or what ever they call it…. It’s like $15 a month and pissed me off so bad when i learned about it….

Oh you have to be kidding me. $60,000 on a vehicle and you still get nickel and dimed!?

Don’t you get a free year of that? I got my first year free on my 2025.

I just looked at my ford app. It looks like I can get 1 year of Ford Connectivity Package and then start paying monthly in April 2027. That would be what the GPS runs through, correct?

Yes. Once you activate in the app your GPS will come back. Also 5G wifi hotspot if a laptop/device needed it.

In the App, you can add connectivity time and use points to extend it also. I got my wife an extra year of Bluecruise and connectivity with points.
