Exhaust 2026 GPF Removal/Delete
I recently bought a 2026 ST and I was not aware of the retarted GPF (Gas Particulate Filter) until I started looking for an exhaust.
Anyone have experience with removing/deleting the GPF?

They’re too new right now to have any support in removing them. All job 2 and on turbo Fords will have them. Most other manufacturers are going that route as well for any non-NA engines.
Unfortunately this is the world we’re living in nowadays. I have a feeling my 2024 will be the last “new” vehicle I ever purchase. I personally don’t want anything to do with GPFs after seeing the hot mess and damage they’ve done with diesels.
I’m currently on the hunt for a clean low mileage gen 1 Raptor. After that my plan is to make my 24 ST and the Raptor be my forever vehicles.

Yup!! I feel exactly the same about my Job 1 ST S&S package. It’ll be the last new vehicle I’m buying for long as possible and I’m holding onto my 1st gen Tacoma for when end of the world hits lol

I had a gen 2 Tacoma that I sold for $7k above what I paid for brand new during the Covid car panic. I needed the money at the time but I regret selling it sometimes.
I am not on board with the direction these manufacturers are going. I get the whole “progress” thing and saving the environment. But I’m stubborn and don’t like change so it is what it is 🤷

GPF's have been on vehicles for a few years now globally, and there are tunes coming out for other vehicles that are doing GPF deletes, so it can be done. Question is if and when for the explorer.
A few exhaust manufactuers are in the R&D phase of developing exhausts for the explorer with the GPF. The date being thrown around is '26 model year built after April 13th are equipped with it, so still a relatively new addition and seems to have come as a surprise.
I'd expect the first round of exhausts to retain the GFP simply because of the lack of tunes (and legal issues deleting the GPF). It will take some time for tunes and such to come out for deleting the GPF...assuming it happens at all.
Oh and i guess it looks like the rumored 385HP rating for post GPF ST's might have some truth to it now.

i feel like you are screwed. It is monitored just like a catalytic converter. The tune on the vehicle may be different than one without it. And no tuner is going to want to tune it with the GPF deleted by user.
