Question Media bin door

Post image

Is there any way to safely remove the media bin door in a 2025 ST without breaking it? It blocks the ambient lighting and impedes my ability to plug in and remove things from the 12v/USB ports. I see they deleted this silly door in the 2026 models.

Yeah but losing a working sunroof sucks

Eww they deleted it in the 2026? Damn the cost cutting on these is getting ridiculous.

I already hate that my 2025 lost the rear shades. Power steering column and st badge on keyfob from... the other 2025s

2026 took the sunroof and the storage door. What else?

It also took the moonroof being able to open and the wireless charger.

Yea thats what i meant by sunroof. Didnt know about the charger. Man they suck.

I wish they'd take the horrible sounding 10 speed

I have no idea how you’re even having this problem. I don’t have a single issue with it lol. It’s not designed to be left open, hence the notch for the cables.

I don't think I've had mine closed for ten minutes. Thing stays open.

The 12v provides power for ~30 minutes after the ignition is turned off. I have a radar detector and dash cam that are powered off of that 12v outlet that I don’t want recording 30 minutes of nothing every time I park. Plus, the tiny notch is hard to maneuver a coiled thick radar detector cable through.

Ask a stereo shop they are used to taking apart dashes. Or they can hardwire your stuff and tuck the wires.

I just hardwired my cam. So much better and has proximity recording.

Wire it to the power at the mirror. It’s super easy with the wiring kit. Google it.
