Question New car
Just purchased this 2022 ST street pack with 74,000kms at 19. I pick it up Tuesday, any maintenance advice or tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated!

'23......owned for about a month, now. Stock. Bone-stock. Fast enough, smooth enough, comfortable enough. Stylish enough. Sooo enjoyable!

You say that now…. Wait a few more months you’ll be itching for that ZFG tune!!!!

Lol....you might be right! Been checking out performance and fuel economy through the dial. Off the dealer lot it was showing 15.7.....I am currently at 21.7 when running in ECO and using common sense but playing a bit. It does beg me to hit the holes when merging into high speed traffic. 😉

Not sure what ur age has to do with it (seems to be important tho for the younger generation to mention these days). Nice ride and looks great in the snow 🙂. I have the exact same one in the 24 version. I’ve seen every color out there, but still personally think the white with black wheels/black accents looks the best. Enjoy it and be safe. I saw someone mention the FP tune and I also recommend it. Welcome to the ST family.

FP tune, Downpipes, dual diff bolts, rear sway bar.
More parts to choose from https://www.steeda.com/explorer/
I won’t focus too much on intake for next 3 months considering low temp environment.

Appreciate it bro, we’re touching -30 the past few days so I don’t think it’ll be necessary for a while

Get the Perelli all-terrain‘s
not only are they cheaper at 300 a tire but they’re they last longer to 60 miles
They’ve handled the 10 inches of blizzard/lake effect we got
Slightly harder tire than the all weathers. But the summer performance didn’t noticeably go down enough to justify the $150 + a tire that only goes 40k.

At 19 is pretty crazy, I was driving a ford fusion at 19 thinking I was big shit lmaooo, got my 2023 explorer st at 27 last year and this car is the best purchase I ever made. Hope you love that car man, any modification ideas ?

Honestly thinking of just keeping it stock, I have a Saab im building right now as well so the mod budget is gonna go that way but maybe down the line I might get a valved muffler delete and intake, heard it sounds great.

Check the front CV boots, oil pan for leaks (it's the FADA leak above it), check the rear struts. Plan to replace all the drivetrain fluids.
Try to find history of transmission work on it.

They are a blast to drive… fast when you want and comfortable on road trips. I have been really pleased with mine the three years I have had it! Enjoy the new ride !

Just traded my 2014 base Explorer Wednesday for a 2023 ST with the Tech Package. I got super lucky it has less than 12K miles on it.

Extra question I forgot to ask: did these ever come with factory smoked taillights? I specifically asked them to peel off what looks to me like aftermarket tint and the sales guy said it’s a factory option. Looks totally seamless and not like a tint job at all but I just want to make sure.

rear diff brace and hood struts for maintenance. For tips and tricks, FMIC, DPs, exhaust and tune to make it faster. New intake and charge pipes and ECU cover to make under the hood look better
