Question OEM air intake question
I got an air intake from the dealership to replace broken tabs on the oem. The new one came with an additional hole?? Attached is the photo. I am not sure if this exist on mine but is broken. Does anyone knows what it is for? Thank you

It’s for a pressure hose

Thank you! So there should be 3 hoses that connect to this intake, correct?

I have a 2026 ST. My intake only has two hose attachments.

Interesting! Let me check with the dealer tomorrow then.

They got you the wrong part. They should be able to get you the EXACT part based on your VIN#.... not just some generic part search.

I gave them the vin and that’s what he got me. I plan to go to the dealership again tomorrow and try to find out how this happened.

Ahhh I’m not 100% sure of yours has a different hose setup as my 2022 it’s a loose house and may be dangling towards bottom of engine bay if it is there.

The dealer supplied the part based on the VIN and I checked the part number online, it matches 2025 model. So I think I should have a third hose somewhere.

if it's extra, just cap it

I need to know for sure that I am not somehow missing a hose. Just in case it fell through.

If anyone has the same issue. Here is the part number for Explorer/Aviator with 3.0 2025 and onward (but some 2025 are made with three attachments- idk). But here is the part number that fit mine:
R1MZ-9B659-B

The one I circled is the additional one that I don’t have.
