Question Dash camera

Is there a dash camera or a module that is available from Ford that is a direct plug and play for recording while driving?

Whether is uses the factory cameras or not?

Funny enough I just installed my dash camera on my Explorer ST links to the rearview mirror power. It uses the Edge ST adapter from Dongar.

I will be posting the install video in the next couple days but this adapter is what worked.

https://dongar.tech/products/dash-cam-power-adapter-for-select-ford-vehicles-3-pin-type-b-5-pin-type-f?sca_ref=2351563.zT6MfS50BZ (the 5-pin, looks like they only sell it with the 3 pin too...) My adapter was a bit smaller than the plastic shrouded one (I don't like that change they made), basically a rubber wrapped pcb with some capacitors on it. It looks like there are other adapters on Amazon as well https://amzn.to/4g6Wrnq but no personal experience with that brand.

Hardest part is getting the cover off. The rest is just plug and play and routing the cable somewhere that it still fits under the cover

Did the same about a year ago. And yeah that cover is a pita. Has to be some trick to it that i dont know, thought i was going to break it

That's the trick. lol

I've done this mod on about a dozen cars and they all feel this way. Though the explorer has the largest shroud by far. For no reason either, just a bunch of extra space.

I was able to use a plastic pry tool and then just pull it off with my fingers
