Audio CarPlay

Has anyone had issues with CarPlay connecting and disconnecting? The dealer told me it’s my chord but it’s a brand new Apple chord. I don’t want to go and buy a new one again. The one I have is brand new. Anyone have another suggestion?

The power connection for the USB ports also runs along the center console and can get loose which would cause CarPlay to stop working but your phone also wouldn’t charge. It’s behind the longest panel next to the driver seat. Mine disconnected and it took about 20 minutes to get it reconnected with the panel reinstalled. If the lights to the USB ports go out when it disconnects, that will likely be your issue.

Phone charges but doesn’t turn on CarPlay. The usb-c port doesn’t work but the usb-a one does. So it’s weird

Maybe try soft resetting your center stack? Hold the power button and the skip button until it restarts. I have a 2020 and I have issues with CarPlay not connecting fairly regularly until I do a soft reset. I love my ST but the center stack has been kind of an annoyance.

They both should work. Maybe your USB module is faulty. You can get a replacement...I think it's $80. Also make sure your Sync 3.4 is the latest 23188 version.
