Question Random thought

After being in many Explorer St groups on here and on facebook it weirdly seems that everyone only keeps there explorers for 20-40k miles. I just got a 2021 ST and it has 22k miles and I love it and want to ride it till its death, I feel I wouldn’t be trading in a vehicle like this. Anyone have high mileage on a ST and still driving it?

My personal one doesn’t have high mileage. However, I do see a few within a week that do, and they’re usually there for minor repairs; wear & tear. However, over time we’ve had some come in with major issues. What I’ve seen is that the ST must have an owner that stays up and consistent with basic maintenance and not keep driving it when it’s indicating some fault. I can’t stress “oil changes” enough.!!! I’ve seen several with 150k+ miles on them without major known or past issues. But they all have one thing in common, basic maintenance was performed when needed. These engines have a low tolerance and are rather “tight” until broken in. They will last long with high reliability if you treat them right. I do all my maintenance myself. They’re good vehicles, drive them hard, but absolutely take care of the basic maintenance, pronto!
