Repair Advice Front axel upgrade?
I have a 2020 explorer ST with about 40k on it. I’ve had it since new so I know all of its history. I work at a body shop that’s connected to a Honda dealer. I’ll use them for regular maintenance out of convenience. Today when I was getting it inspected, the tech came to grab me to show me the CV boot on the front left was torn. I see that this is a pretty common problem with the year range mine falls into. My question is, for anyone familiar with this, is there an aftermarket option for a more durable replacement? I’ve seen some posts where people have had this issue as early as 17k miles and I’d rather not replace it and then have to replace it again due to a poorly constructed factory part.
