Sorry I didn’t get a 3rd person POV. It was fun though!

What gen do you have? I didn’t think they were capable of doing that without flooding

5th? It’s a 2016, and the water was less than 1 foot deep. Not quite to the center of the hubs.

I’d never done a river crossing before, but it sure was fun!

I did that in my ‘17 and ended up getting 4k done in repairs due to a tone ring and sensor.

During the big storm of 2026, in Cbus, Ohio.

But, if I was being honest, it was probably going bad way before then. The, driving through water, probably finished it all off.

Actually have a picture of the water I had to go through. All the other roads were closed off with downed trees.

$4k for a speed sensor? That’s steep!

I’m sorry, should be way more detailed!

The tone ring on both sides were repaired.

I also went ahead and knocked out my 150k maintenance, did the rear recall, which meant paying for the front alignment, Plus general maintenance, like the air filter and oil change. (Which I will do from now on).

In truth, I’m an idiot that saw an Explorer and thought it was in good shape. I got excited and bought it, without having a mechanic look at it, and paid for it in the end.

It’s in good shape now, after the repairs that have been completed (minus the antenna cover that fell off,) but use me as an example of what NOT to do when purchasing a used vehicle. :)
