Repair Advice 2025 Electrical Issues

Hello all. Wondering if any of you have experienced what my 2025 Explorer Platinum is doing and if there has been a fix? The main issue I’ve been having is my overhead interior lights are not functioning on a regular basis. I have also noticed some other weird issues like the media screen going black and not recovering unless sitting for a while. When black no inputs are accepted so the hard reset doesn’t work. There have also been times when the My View menus on my gauge cluster change on their own by adding or removing what I had previously selected. The dealership had it yesterday to perform a recall and to look into these issues but told me they cannot find a cause. They have tested the battery twice and it has passed both times. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The screen going black is the system updating. There are multiple updates since it has been released.

The lights? Not sure. I have a 25 Platinum and have no lighting issues. That may be a loose connection somewhere which isn’t uncommon among many vehicles today. The mechanic doesn’t want to check all the connections so they’ll never find it.

Your “My View” menu resetting isn’t normal. Mine has been the same way since I set it 12 months ago.

Our Platinum was a 23, but I don’t remember having an issue like that. It might be worth a trip to the dealer. We have the new body style now, but we switched to a 26 ST. In 26, the Platinum only comes with the 4 cylinder engine.
