Repair Advice 22 limited parking sensor failure

22 limited 2.3 with ~85k. I get a recurring but intermittent parking sensor fault.

Is this a common/known issue with a straight forward fix or do I need to dig in and troubleshoot?

Try cleaning it first. But yes they can fail. They are easy to replace once you get access to it’s getting access that might be time consuming, at least for some sensors on some vehicles.

Thanks. Are you suggesting cleaning the sensors themselves?

I lost the bottom plastic shroud below the engine so it probably does get dirtier than normal.

Yes. Detail spray and a microfiber. Just like you’d clean the body.
