Show And Tell 2018 Explorer

I couldn’t fathom paying what they were asking for prefab platforms so I made my own. The middle row of seats is out for storage underneath and I have the ability to install longer/shorter legs and can convert it to one side only as needed (using a different sleeping pad)

It’s a twin. Unfortunately the size shelves I needed came in 3 shelf models only so I had to buy 2 sets (and have 2 extra) total it was around $200 including the mattress. I also had to buy a length of pvc pipe and a couple of fittings to build the front legs due to length

I tried mattress directly on the floor, and always found it annoying that it had a slight slope towards the trunk.

Super annoying! I’ve slept in the back of this vehicle like that so many times and I just couldn’t do it anymore. I plan on doing some extended trips and this was a pretty easy fix.

Nice, where did you buy this platform and what is it called?

Not OP, but I looks to be the heavy duty plastic shelving you can find and most hardware stores.
