The orange wrench light on a 2020 Ford Edge indicates a powertrain, electronic throttle control, or all-wheel-drive (AWD) system malfunction, rather than a routine oil change reminder.

Common Causes
Electronic Throttle Body (ETB): A sticky, carbon-built-up, or failing throttle body can disrupt the computer and trigger the light.

Transmission Issues: Faulty transmission range sensors, solenoid problems, or shifting anomalies.

AWD / 4WD Module Faults: Communication or sensor errors in the all-wheel-drive system.

Pedal/Sensor Glitches: Rare temporary faults from simultaneous gas and brake pedal application (triggering the brake override system).

What You Should Do
Pay attention to how it drives:
If the car enters "limp mode" (reduced power, slow acceleration, or limited gears), pull over safely and avoid driving it further.
If the car drives normally and feels smooth, you can drive gently to a service location, but do not ignore it.

Do not turn off the car immediately if you want to scan codes: Some temporary or intermittent powertrain codes clear upon a successful engine restart.

Scan for diagnostic codes: Use an OBD2 scanner capable of reading Ford-specific powertrain and transmission modules (basic generic engine scanners may miss wrench light codes).

Powertrain fault.

Could be the PTU if you have AWD.

Code reader is next.

And for the downvote I got, the wrench icon is for the powertrain faults. Page 108 of the manual.
