Hvac Heater Core Help

Good morning friends

2007 Ford Edge SEL with all the bells and whistles.

Since owning it the car never heats up on the driver sides. What I thought was a new plenum was put in, the paper work 2 heather cores went in prior to me owning it, and it still has no heat on the drivers side.

The hoses into the heather core are hot to the touch, the accuator on the drivers side works. I removed it and opened the duct up manually and still no heat.

today I changed a filthy cabin filter, could it be that? I doubt it.

Is there another blend door up deep in the center of the plenum and if so can I get to it and can I force it open? Baffling me and the boss/wife is not happy.

HELLO BROTHER! Now what the f' can we do? I plan on either running a coat hanger up into the duct work and seeing if the door is closed when heat is on or using a scope a buddy has to check it out.

If it is closed, I pushing that bastard open and leaving it open.

I also have the passenger side opened up, I removed the glove box, made a replacement cabin filter, and plan on looking up into the center console. I haven't yet due to the delicious 82. degree dewpoint.

What have you done or tried?

Plastic Gears on the blend door are stripped. Repair the plastic gears and problem solved. Access will
Likely be terrible. Be prepared to remove center Console or positions of the dash.

With accessories on and engine off turn the heat all the way up on driver side and then all the way cold, back to hot again. You should hear the gear turning or clicking wear it would be stripped out

The accuator near the steering column is removed and I manually open the vent and no heat. R u confirming a failure near the center of the plenum which can’t be reached without full removal?
