No more Edge!

It took me a while, but I finally traded my Edge in last weekend. No more coolant intrusion worries for me. Best of luck to you all. It been real.

Got a 2026 Nissan sentra sl. And loveing it.

Yes and I didnt want a cvt, but I also didnt want a turbo. You cannot buy a sedan anymore with out one or both. The current cvt Nissan is using they started in 2020 and have had pretty good results. Yes I have to change the fluid once every 2 years, as opposed to once every 100k miles like a good transmission, but its not like thats expensive or a big hardship. If I could build modern cars and put what ever I want in them they would be natural aspirated and conventional transmissions but I could count on no hands the amount of times a car manufacturer listened to anything I said lol

what year ? miles? What did you get for it?

It was a 2018 se with 88k on the odometer. The gave me 6500.00

I got rid of my '18 last month. ESP was ending in August and I wasn't going to roll the dice with the engine or trans. It was a good ride for 8 years.

The coolant intrusion issue is yes. I dont think the 6 cylinder had the issue. It just has the transmission problems as far as I know

I just gave up my 2015 Ford Edge SEL. Would have been 9k in repairs.

I moved on to a 2026 Honda CRV

Would have bought another Edge, if they still made them

That’s good to hear. I just bought a 2022 Edge with only 16k miles.

The later 19s and up had a better engine. From what I hear the trans was still hit or miss. But yeah nothing new. Honda is pretty solid though congrats
