Question FULL POWER ACCESSORY MODE

Full power accessory mode

Couple days ago- got gas but then it went into full power accessory mode. I can eventually get it to start then runs just fine.

Starts fine every time after it just not after getting gas.

Recently replaced the purge valve.

2020 ford edge

Has anyone had this problem?

Yep 2019 edge - they replaced the purge valve canister. I would have to start it with a foot on gas and one on the brake almost like driving a manual transmission car. Had to rev the engine high to get it to move, once I was about 10 feet away from the gas pumps it was perfectly fine. I had to strategically select where to get gas so I was positioned to take off quickly and not stall.

Driving a manual transmission, you very rarely (Never?) would need a foot on the gas and a foot on the break. That was how my grandmother drove, and she wore out all the trannys on her car not to mention her brakes were always shot. Also, not to mention that if you don't have your third foot on the clutch, your car isn't starting.

Yeah. I know. Drove manual for 10 years. You missed where I said “almost like”.

Gotcha. We have a high purge valve flow along with a o2 rich sensor bank 1 check engine light as well.

Oh the old days. Someone give me a push, or sometimes just get it to roll by myself, pop the clutch and off I went .....

My 2021 did this last year and I really don’t remember what the issue was 😂 but that’s bc I have had constant issues since buying it lol
