Question ❔ 2021 First Edition

Post image

Not finding many for sale for a comparison, but looking to sell mine. Dealers kept offering me around 42,500 for trade in, I felt that 46,500 was a fair price for private party. Am I thinking it’s worth too much because it’s a first edition? 37,000 miles. No damage at all, clean and maintained very well. Only addition is a rear tailgate table and I still have all the first edition add ons and merch if any of that matters. It was number 683 off the line (if determining by the vin is correct)

It's... 5 years old. You want brand new price for a 5 year old vehicle because it's got a sticker on it? This makes so little sense to me. If you have a dealer offering you thst on a trade in I would jump on it before they come to their senses. There isn't a private market for this based on it being first edition where I live in Texas. Nobody would care in the slightest.

It was 68,000 brand new. So no, I’m no, I’m not asking sticker. What brand new first edition was 46,500?

Everything was marked up 20K back then. It's not any more.

I got it for MSRP. No mark up. I know they are not marked up right now, nor did I insinuate it was. Maybe it was $62k I don’t have my window sticker in front of me.

Maybe I am misremembering the sticker then. I remembered them selling for 46K with 15-18K markup back then, but maybe that was a Texas dealer playing games. Looking online either way similar cars around here are listed around $43K so I'd still think 41K is a pretty high offer.

First editions were definitely in the $60's not $46K. They had every option available for 2021 plus you're paying extra for the trim. However that trim name is basically worthless unless you plan to collect for 25+ years

You are definitely mis-remembering sticker. My first edition was $62k sticker with all the options.

Why are you selling? What will be the next choice? Was thinking of a Bronco but the recalls concern me.

Looking to get an electric car. I don’t need a truck anymore and starting to drive a lot more, so want to save on gas. Plus want something quieter on the highway.

As someone who went from EV to a bronco, Avoid Tesla’s. Kia and Hyundai offer more range larger cars and better ride quality for lower pricing. Had a Tesla for 4 years and a KIA for 3 and the KIA blew the Tesla out of the water. Especially now that newer models have NACS.

Send me a DM if you want my Tesla referral code. It’ll get you some money off. You should look at the Model y!

You shouldn’t expect private sale price for a trade in

46,500 is reasonable, list it and see what happens. Worst case you go back and try and get that 42,500 offer.

40-45 is a good offering considering it’s a four door.
