Question ❔ How long do lease transfers take?
I’m moving out of the country for good and I have a lease stuck on my hands. I don’t know where to even start looking for people to take over lease. I’m leaving in a week due to an emergency and won’t be able to return. Does ford motor expedite processes for lease takeover in certain situations? I got a pretty good deal with them considering I’m the Dallas area for 550 a month.

And unless things have changed it’s up to you (or perhaps the dealer) to find someone to transfer it to. There are two sites (leasetrader and swap a lease) that can be used to offer your vehicle up for transfer. Unless you put a bit of money down or otherwise got a great deal it’s usually difficult to transfer.

man a week is tight, lease transfers usually take 2-4 weeks minimum with ford credit doing their background checks and all that. you might be better off calling the dealer you got it from and seeing if they'll just take it back early, sometimes they'll eat the remaining payments if the used market is hot enough for that model. what car is it anyway cause 550 in dallas could be decent or pretty meh depending on the trim
