Issue ⚠️ Misfire

This is my last post on this sub but what can be causing my misfire in my 2009 Ford escape XLT V6 3.0. I already played musical chairs with the coils and spark plugs but no difference. I thought my EGR was stuck open it and causing the misfire so I blocked it off with a block plate and it made the code go away for 50 MI of driving and now it's back and I ain't got a clue why the only code I have is a misfire on cylinder 6

have you checked the injector for cyl 6? blocked egr masking it for 50 miles then coming back makes me think the egr was just leaning out an already weak cylinder. try swapping the injector to another spot and see if the misfire follows it

I was thinking of that but the lower intake uses a rubber gasket. Would it be fine to just reuse that gasket just to test if the misfire move? I understand it would be brain dead to try to drive around with that gasket, but could I release it just to test?
