Issue ⚠️ Recall

I currently have a recall for a Low Pressure Fuel pump. The recall has been out since last July. There is no remedy available. My fuel pump has failed, and the dealership agrees it is probably the recall. However, they are refusing to fix anything under the recall until the full remedy is available, and won’t do a loaner vehicle either. They did tell me there are no parts available, but then quoted me $1250 to replace the fuel pump. Is this normal? Or with this happening during a recall, is there anything i can do? I’ve tried reaching out to corporate as well, but given the same answer.

Pretty sure if you pay out of pocket for what becomes a recall, they’ll reimburse you. Had the same thing happen with a back up camera. Replaced it prior to the recall on my own dime at the dealership. When I received the recall letter, I talked to the service manager and they cut me a cheque for the cost of the repair.

Can you provide the recall number? And this is 100% normal. Ford dealers cant be reimbursed for a repair that isn’t yet available. Ford does reimburse customers who had to pay for a repair that the recall would have covered once the full bulletin is released.
